actually, there will only be one vent, unlike the original planned tiger shark fenders. there will only be the top vent, and it's being reduced in height by about 1". he mentioned it would look wierd with two, and i agreed.Quote:

Peano, are they molding the sideskirts to the body of your car? They look about 928343 times nicer than mine do... mine curve in the middle because they're too short and had to be forced on, and I have gaps at both ends.
Nice...I love the new sideskirt! 8) The front bumper looks pretty sweet too, it turning out pretty nice! I don't see the "mustang" look that some of you are saying...but I think once the front if finally finished with the headlights and rest of the body front parts the Galant will have more of a "silvia" look IMO. Can't wait to see pics of the rear bumper :wink: Anyways...good looking out Peano for the pics!

I ve been watching this whole group buy thing and has just become a member. Can somebody tell why would my fellow 7th g'ers choose the same side skirts and rear bumper that they are already available. Just because its from the 8th g doesn't make different. I mean, look at it, its the same things except the side skirts are backwards. Those of you want to save some money and already own a shogun kit, turn you side skirts around. I not trying to an ass, but we were given an chance to come up wit a completely new kit. 7th gers constantly complain about the shogun kit, but when giving the chance we can't get even away from it.
I know that I myself dislike the shogun front, but like the sides and rear. I think that's actually the case for most of the people in on the GB.
Although that is true, how come everyone settled on something that was already out there? haha
we aren't gettin the shogun sides.....sorry guys, but the finished product isn't just a shogun sideskirt, turned around or upside down or inside out....he's making everything himself....
You are a fairly new member...so you haven't seen the many times the 7g owners attempted to get a GB on a new body kit. This probably if I assume right...the 3rd or 4th time we tried to get a new body kit for the 7g each time fell through but this one actually got going. The big problem previously...TOO many opinions on what the owners want and actual people willing to put $$$$ down to start the project. Unfortunately there isn't as much of Galant owners to Civic owners to which companies are willing to cater to every possible style of body to a car and know they can recover cost to make the kit or make profit....its just how it is. Like what brandon said...I like the Erebuni sides and rear and fortunately most other 7g'ers agree too, reason why this GB is made it through.Quote:

Its cool, and I understand the gb thing. Ive actually been a member for a while, Ive just had problems loging on. I just thought we could have gotten something totally different. what up on the gb for the fenders and trunk.

the fact that we ACTUALLY got a custom kit made overrides any dissapointment of the sideskirts being the 8G sideskirts turned around. it is old for the 8Gs but uh, we drive 7Gs, so it's new. like when africa got TV 10 years after we did, it sure as hell was new to them.
and we did choose for the 8G side skirts and rear, because it was the only setup everyone could agree upon.
I agree with peano. Just the fact that this kit is being made is an accomplishment. I think the majority of the people in on this GB just wanted a clean BK. Not to flashy. Just nice and simple. And I think that's what we're going to get.

Well, I know i've given you alot of Sh*t over the past few months of waiting for this....(feels like months)...but....Peano...I really appreciate you loaning your car like that......i'm sure everyone else here does as well. As far as Da-Gal is concerned, no offence but i think the phrase "A day late and a dollar short!" applies, or should it be, 3 months and $50.
But as far as the pic up date is concerned i think i called it in my first post after the pics, but at least we know it's being done!! And it's looking bad ass so far. I think the finished product will be impressive. Besides, the most important part of a kit is the front bumper anyway.
now that's I something I agree on. the front bumper is the most important thing.
