How long has the battery been disconnected? I know I took too long on my swap & my car wouldn't start cause I needed a new battery.
Congrats bro
Yea guys sorry i didn't keep up with the thread, all is well for now lol. The car is another animal, and its not even boosted yet. Still waiting on a few parts for the turbo.
quick question, i see that i can use a 2g clutch kit when you use the 3g trans. but will i still use the 2g clutch kitt when i use the evo trans when i do the awd swap??? also what flywheel will i use?
No u use an evo clutch and flywheel I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
no your right lol
So if I am using the 2g starter will there be any problems not having the heat shield in place?
When you say throw out the two flywheel spacers you mean the shims correct? Any help would be great.
So I have completed the swap. While it is running the crank shaft is making a noise. Is it possible that the flywheel is not centered causing the main shaft to be off balance? Every thing sounds good except the harmonic balancer area. I ran it with the belts off to eliminate if I damaged a pulley during install. That was not the issue. I saw there was a line up hole on the block I eyeballed it when installing the flywheel.. Don't know if that could be my problem.
I am also hearing a roaring or rattle noise in the trans. I inspected thru the bottom plate nothing appears to be damaged? I am about to go crazy!
Thank you for this thread. I installed my 5 speed 2 days ago and lovin it.
You welcome
