Yay, I'll have a polished intake manifold, polished VR-4 fuel rail, and a new MSD Digital 6+ ignition box once I get everything put back together.

Taken this morning. I haven't put the new black headlights and new grill in. I'm going to wait until my replacement HID bulbs arrive next week.

That color looks almost identical to mine. Must be your camera.
Wow Rich - is that the same 8G you've had all this time? Lookin sleek!
 Yes it is. Thanks. There's a bunch of dings and chips here and there, but overall, the paint looks pretty good.Quote:

any suggestions to clean up this manifold? its stainless steel but i really dont want to hand polish it im just not interested in spending that much time on it... i had planned on covering it with the black heat wrap which i might still do but im open to suggestions

if you got the money i would send it to swaintech or jet-hot and have them put a hight temp coat on it. it will look alot cleaner and perform just as well, if not better. btw is that a RIPP header? if it is then it has a mild steel ex. flange and rust WILL! more of a reason to get it coated, unless they changes it s.s. somewhere down the line.
Either black Jet-Hot coating or black heat wrap.
its a cmf header i got it for a good price and im going to have one of my boys modify it a little bit but it fits perfect with the DOHC it comes very close to the oil pan but its good enough clearence... the ripp and rpw header were too low for my taste since the car is about 3 inches off the ground with no kit lol
Wait, you're going N/A?
^Id say you have been out of the loop for awhile...
yah im building for n/a forged 11.5:1 compression pistons ive got the flange and runners done for an itb setup, bored out to 88mm, crank was knife edged, outrageously lightened and balanced, eagle rods, no balance shafts, head was race ported over intake and exhaust gaskets size so i had to cut the gaskets open more, 272 cams may do 280 tho, supertech valve train with 1mm+ nitrate coated valves, 450cc injectors, walbro 190, prostreet cam gears, cmf header for now till i can weld up another one... oh yah everything was cryotreated... i know there is more but i gotta make a list
the engine is all put together now sept for the itb's i gotta drive over 2hours to use my boys tig
im getting a n/x dry kit also going to do a 150 shot direct port on top of all that for fun
then i can finish my ls2 datsun thats the new "fast car" lol
