The broadway is the best thing I've ever done to the car to help my daily driving. I see so much more out of it and not to mention it is way more clear than the stock mirror. I also have the convex so it helps a lot. My wifes car has the flat one and it kinda sucks.
So what size to buy id like to try these things out
I bought the 260mm? I think thats it. The 300mm was too big for the Galant IMO. the 260 was plenty enough to be able to see the blind spots which are the quarter windows in the rear doors.
Looks great how much rear camber?

I'm loving the new wheel combo with every new pic you post.
Thanks everyone. I'm working hard to get her where she is. All the nice words are really making it worth it.
Went on a junkyard adventure with a few buddies this past weekend. Found ONE silver 8G. I ended up grabbing a driver door and fender from a 99 ES V6 for a measly $112. Not bad right?
It was all good and dandy until I got the door installed and saw it this morning. It seems 99 Galants have a different shade of silver (less flake) called Minden silver Mica. My 2000 is Sterling Silver Metallic. I was really bummed. I am going to clay, wax, and buff it to see if giving it a good healthy shine will make a difference. I guess only thing that will make me feel a little better is the fact that the new door is 10 times straighter than the old one. I guess it'll have to hold me over until the WHOLE car gets painted. Something I am planning to tackle myself after I address all the rust and find a house with a garage to do the painting in. I doubt the in-laws will be ok to paint a whole car in their garage. lol.
I'll snap pics once the fender is installed and the restoration of the paint on the junkyard door is finished. Until then I am going to keep my multi-colored beauty away from the internet. lol
LOL! It happens man, its really hard to find the same color car at a junkyard. Even still if you found an exact color-match, every car has seen different weather conditions and had different variations of care. So the color will still be off from the rest of your car. I found my hood at a local junkyard, & lucked up that the color was pretty close. After a full detail to the car I got the hood to match up pretty well, but I still can notice the difference. So it wont be right until the whole car is re-sprayed...
Excuse the door and fender. It's off of a 99 and my car is a 2000. Apparently, there were two silvers between those two years. Atleast they're straight. I will paint the car eventually. Gave her a much needed bath, claybar treatment and waxed her up for the first time this year.

Looks good. I dont think the evo style hood flows with the body lines tho. Its a little distracting.
Looks good man

I'm not in love with the hood either, but good lawd, that rear fitment is nice.
Thanks guys! I got the hood for a case of Heineken I'd love to get an oem style cf or fg hood but this deal was too good to pass up.
Looks good, I think once the hood is color matched it will flow much better.

And this is badass!! My favorite of the bunch, keep the progress coming!
Well, yesterday was the worst weather for my tune. lol. Very humid and 80 something degrees. The wideband was reading 10.8 @10psi WOT and the car wasn't feeling as good. Set the boost to about 15psi and the AFR's still sat at 10.8-11.0 haha.
Today, was about 80 but not as humid and a little breeze. @10psi AFR's was 10.9 at tip in then steady 11.3 at WOT. Feels decent. On the way home from work it was about 50 ish maybe 60 degrees and the wideband was reading 11.5 @ 10psi. Drove around a little since the wife was with her girlfriends and got smoked by a modded Subaru. Sounded different from other Subbies with a TBE. I also missed second gear, caught me off guard. Excuses excuses. Blah Blah Blah.
So I headed back home and decided I'd play with the boost controller. turned the knob about five times and boost was up to 12psi (Hallmans In-cabin is kinda shitty IMO). Found an open road, pulled over, popped the hood and made sure all the clamps were tight and I went. From a 30 roll in second gear BabyG pulled harder than I have ever felt and sat perfect at 11.3 @12psi. Behind my in-laws place there is a long stretch of road maybe a mile long. Stopped and launched it @ 3k and roasted it in first and half way through second. Going about 90-100 and I miss 4th gear. D'oh! lol.
She feels awesome at 12 psi. I cant wait to get the wedding over with so I can get her on the dyno and get a re-tune for 12-15psi on a tephra patch. I turned the boost back down to 10psi just beacause I felt a little bit of a break up in the upper RPM range. Very miniscule break up though, I'd rather be safe than sorry. The plugs in the car is about 2500 miles old and with the way I drive it it probably needs to be replaced. I figure I change the plugs with every oil change anyway, or atleast every other.
On another note I bought the rear disc swap from Dion (Deeznuts) and two pot front calipers with the big rotors from Chris (Kolio) and I've been cleaning them up. cut the rotors and painted the hats along with the calipers. I also ordered the SS braided brake lines from RRE and they got them to me in less than one business day (ordered it Saturday afternoon and I got it that following monday). I also have been meaning to address the exhaust manifold leak and upon inspection I notice the other two gaskets will probably fall apart once I unbolt the whole manifold spacer set-up so I had to order two more Fel-Pro manifold gaskets from rockauto. The Fel-Pro gasket's quality is 10x better than the ones I got with the flanges. Hopefully I get that during the week and I'll install them before my shift at work. I'll be installing the brakes on monday.
Well, everyone likes pictures. Only two iphone pics but it will have to do.

One last thing, this might be the last couple of months you will see her silver. Going to get a major make over. Going to keep the color hush hush until I post "After paint" pictures.
Keep up the good work!
Nice. I'm still liking the color matched radiator support, and also in favor of color matching the hood, since your considering painting.
the hood is going to be color matched pretty soon. though the car will not be silver. not even close.
Sounds like a plan

Hit 15psi on the highway on the way home and GOD DAMN. lol. Thats really all i can say. Surprisingly smooth all the way to redline and still 11.0 - 11.3 AFR through out.
Also did this today. I love working on a lift.

Braided lines all the way around.
Looks good bro. You like that 15 psi. Lol and you dont have LSD.
Yeah. Ones you go turbo you get respect. Keep up the good work.
Thanks man. 15psi is sweet. I really want to get it on the dyno now and get the tephra patch. I was thinking of going another heat range colder on the plug to clean up the idle a bit but I cant find anything colder than a BKR7E. All I can find is BKR7E-IX and I really dont want to pay for Iridium plugs.
To clean your idle. Tunner have to mess with timing and idle on the ecu. You go colder for avery 100hp you make. Dont think changing plugs will help. Try to bring your idle to 812 on the ecu. Let see what the tunner does or say about your idle. Changing to the new rom maybe you need to reconfigure everything.
the idle is actually smooth its just "poppy" no fluctuation. Maybe it's the exhaust but I still can't believe the coldes NGK has is BKR7E. I got the idea from Stewi on my boosted thread.
For mine im putting. BPR7ES. I believe thats the one you have. But his right. Try to gap them down. Also Roman told me that the evo coils will work best than the galant. Thats what im putting. Evo coils with galant boot.
The SOHC take BKR7E's. BPR7E's only fit on the DOHC because the hex size is 13/16. I run the BKR7E's gapped to .022 also running on EVO coils with Galant boots.

the car has come a long way Jigz, looking great. cant wait to see what you got in mind for it down the road. definitely one of my favorites!!
Im using evo coils i forget what heat range i ended up at but my plugs are gapped to .017 and there is no blow out but at 10psi and 350hp idle is surprisingly smooth @950 with 272's and no balance shafts. Isaurio is right with the tune you can smooth it all out.
i would LOVE to see ur car with some JDM heads
I've thought about it before but I like my grille and I am eventually going to retrofit some D2S projectors into my USDM housings.
On another note, blew apart the drivers side inner CV boot and threw grease all over the bottom of the trans, thank god for the battery tray or else it wouldve ended up everywhere in the engine bay. Going to replace the axle and inner tie-rods on thursday.
I hear the H1 minis perform better than D2S, so that's what I got and I'm very happy with them.
