ebay or junkyard man
I got mine for 170 free ship on ebay
well i have a motor that was in a 96 and it still has the cam sensor outside the distributer.. so would it be more cost effective to get a 96 and up ecm with harness?
no ur car isnt OBD2
leave it the way it is or you need to get more sensors and stuff. just fix the issue at hand now
my engine has all those extra sensors because of my engine swap from a 96. but that would fix the issue because the 96 and later distributors didnt have the sensor in them it is by the timing belt cover.
there is only 1 sensor difference on the motor itself as the crank sensor is on the driver's side by the crank and not in the distributor.
please dont make this harder than it is and just get it running
if the pump is good then its the distributor, any CEL or anything?
mine has a barometer sensor on the intake as well.
CEL?
check engine light.
pictures of your motor as well. the sensor on the top on the intake mani cant be hooked up to anything as its not on a 94 or 95 car.
nope no check engine light
and it isnt because no plug for it. lol i learned alot from doing the engine swap.
the intake manis are the same besides that little sensor.
you werent losing coolant or oil were you prior to this
coolant and oil are fine.
then a really say distributor man. its electical it would just go like that
the sensor thats in it went bad? or the distributor itself?
Oh I see now. (about the other thread)
Its a whole distributor assembly. Besides the rotor and the cap, no other parts are available.
Very easy to check for spark. Pull a spark plug out, attach it to the spark plug wire, ground the threads and have someone crank the engine. you must see spark. If you dont then most likely the distributor is shot
ok ill take a look at that lol
distributor is A ok. however the cap looks horrible so im gonna do a tune up. and see if thats the problem
