cai
can ne body tell me if their were noticable changes in sound and performance after installing the gsr kit??.....mine is on the way and i wanted to make sure it was really worth it......can i use one of the three pieces as the tube between tb and mas?
-
you will definitely notice the sound. u may or may not notice the performance gain, but its a good place to start regardless

Sup, Im new and i was wondering if this 94-01 Acura Integra GS LS RS Cold Air Intake http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2434439514
would fit for my 97' galant
Thanks https://www.thegalantcenter.org/styl...ault/smile.gif
-
eh tahts not the one everyone uses, but you could cut it to fit. you would need to make about 3 cuts, but it could work
-
i duno if this would jus be too much work
but couldnt you jus buy piping and rubber pieces from home depot?
and whats the difference between a cai and a forced air induction?
-
cold air would be your intake, forced induction would be a turbo/supercharger... only a slight difference in cost and performance https://www.thegalantcenter.org/styl...ault/laugh.gif
-
o... ok thanks
i saw a guy with home made 3" pipes that i gues was just a cai but he labeled it "forced air induction"
-
yea u can use pvc piping but its not called pvc its called something else... https://www.thegalantcenter.org/styl...ult/tongue.gif its like 59 cents a foot i think...
-
don't use the plastic pipe from home depot. the pcv and other plastic pipe at home depot won't hold up to the heat.
-
ive had mine for more then a year with 3 reducers on it... seems like the reducer is more likely to melt then that though... cant say about the hot air though...
-
wut r the reducers? the rubber adapters?
but other than that... 59 cents a foot sounds good
i think im mite try to do that, hopefully find 2 pieces i wont have to cut, and see how it works out
if it doesn't work, i'll have lost a couple bucks and i can still buy the integ intake
so if anyone knows the name of the pipe that would perform best under the heat lemme kno
-
youll see it its not that hard to miss... mine is colored black... but ya no matter what, ur gonna have to cut but its no biggy https://www.thegalantcenter.org/styl...ult/tongue.gif and ya the reducers are the rubber thingy...
-
15$ intake and its awesome
can def feel the power and hear the sound
the first two times i put it on it was too low and the filter fell off but now everything is set
but im jus curious... how low should the intake be? should i be able to see the filter by looking under the car? should it stick out below all the other stuff?
-
where can i buy the MAS adapter and what kind do i need?
-
eBay usually has em. and they make am in 3" and 4.5". 4.5" is more common, but 3" would be ideal
-
-
no u already have that... thats ur maf
ur looking for something like this

if i get an integra gsr CAI kit, all i would need to buy to use it on the galant is the MAS adaptor for the galant correct?
where can i get just a MAS adaptor? on ebay they come with a filter, but i dont need a filter cause the CAI for the teg comes with one.
also, is this way cheaper/better than building tha CAI like the original guide explains?
can i use the MAS from any eclipse models? cause then i could buy an eclipse CAI.....and just cut the piping so it fits
-
does anybody have pics of the gsr intake already installed in a 7g?
