it wont stay leveled.. you either have to use bottom screws or install latches...
heres mine:

I leveled it with some corner braces. But with a spoiler doubt they will help, altho might.
But when u want to close it, as i said, either use bottom screws or install latches. Otherwise you cant really close it, because of wobbling.
D.
i put some small ahh what the hell are they called the things to close the doors its like a little bar that gos through the bar that holds the trunk up yeh that one wtf did i just say but i hope it help hahahaha

krispy, what u think of my work? https://www.thegalantcenter.org/styl...lt/biggrin.gif Took me like an hour by myself https://www.thegalantcenter.org/styl...efault/sad.gif cause my gay friend left with trunk on the ground. Had ot ask some random person to help me lift it up lol.
yea when i used something like krispy's hinges they bent after a couple times of opening... i had too look for some heavy duty hinges somthing a little thicker ....
did the thicker ones held it better?
it worked better for me on my 7g... it didnt flex when i tried to close the hood...
maybe u mean the trunk....?
yea trunk... 8)
With that steel bar u installed, can you now close the trunk? or do you still have to put screws it?
Some more pics to help anyone with tutorial.

I've placed a clear bar to hold it in place and to look "90 degree flush" when taking pics. Vivid illusion... :|
Looka good, man. Just wondering: do you get water in your trunk from the mount holes from your wing? :?Quote:

Make sure you put the bolts back on when closing the trunk. Keep a ratchet set in trunk at all times!
mine shuts fine, it latchs, its just shakky, i'm going to look at it tommorrow and see what i can do to fix w/o having to put the bolts back in each time
nope no water in the trunk... they're plugged
Did mine today, took me about 20 minutes, broke like 4 self tapping screws, but at the end it looks sweeeeeeeeet, just before closing the boot i have placed the bottom bolts back on either side, without using ratchet or anything, just hand tighten.Next on the list clear sides..Only gets better and better
yeah thats what you should do, just hand tighten the screws and it's fine.Quote:

I know this is old but hood pins work great and are lot faster at getting in held down to close....Also to get your trunk sitting perfectly level you can put rubber feet under the brace....
yeah, that's what i'm gonna do to mineQuote:

nice. do you leave your bolts in when you close your trunk too?
yea i put them back in each time..... its sucks but o well!
haha, yeah. ever thought of maybe hooking up some air hydraulics to the trunk? like in minivans?
sounds like a good idea, it would be alot of work though w/ the "flip flop" trunk.
man i loved it!!! the pics are perfect
Damn this is tempting....
Does the square bar across the 2 braces work at stabilizing the trunk?
so if i do this and i dont like it or it wobbles to much can i put it back the original way or that wont work anymore?
Yes, that is correct. lol even if it went out of style 3 years ago! :D
