Yeah the 4G Eclipse metallic orange would look good too, or that lancer orange you just posted. Definitely good choices.

Blackberry Pearl
A honda color
Do it.
I liked his orange car, just not him. End of that subject
either orange is nice, you should look into the Dodge 2011 Toxic Orange too
edit: Blue8g, dodge just released a 2011 blackberry pearl too
X2! I miss him and the amount of knowledge he was able to provide the 6cyl and 8g platforms,
Anyway, I have a lot of work to do this weekend. Picked up primer to do the entire car and enough fiberglass/body filler to coat the entire car lol! Just need to get the shell out of the garage and start working on the new g. Should be fun, I guess.
man that Lancer orange would look sooo good.
and x2 with what Jigz was saying earlier.. You know you love your car when your scariest nightmares involve things happening to it lol
Eh how much would you charge to paint my car black lol? or a sunset color. color code A17 Lemans Sunset Met. Comes off the -03 nissan 350Z
I was reading from post 1 of this thread and saw the progression from original color of the G to TJ's Corvette Sunset Orange and the second I saw orange I said, EVO Rotor Glow Orange.
Forget all other colors, if you want to do orange, do the Rotor Glow Orange, and I'm not biased because I joined the Evo family, take a look at the Rotor Glow thread on EvolutionM, sick sick color!!
^I call bias
So I choose 2011 Dodge Toxic Orange for my bias

First thing I did when I went home was took some stuff I needed from the old G. I removed the engine from the new G, Swapped some of the old g parts on, Welded the old g's metal where the new G needed it =) , Cleaned out the engine bay and getting it ready for primer, removed the door panels, and took that damaged hood off.
I should be done in a month or so.
They work for me. Looks good keith, I get what the circled marks are, dents, but what are the squiggly(sp?) lines for? How often do you work on it?
lol.. I had to edit the pics a second time.
The squiggly's are where a reflection spot is not deflecting light properly. Going to use a very thin layer of body filler to help make it baby ass smooth lol.
I only have friday night to sunday afternoon to work on the g, every weekend. So basically I come inside for something to eat or to sleep at night. Every other second is spent outside in the garage.
it looks good so far.
oh ok lol. You do what I do, I work for the weekend to spend all day friday, sat, and part of sundays in the garage. Food is a must, lol but I can take a leak outside. I didn't get much down today lol 35 degrees in the garage with a fricken wood stove... -5 outside blah, and it was 65 degrees last tuesday! Hope you get it finished before a month though
looking good!!
Very nice Keith!!!
looking good man, glad more of the shell of the old one will be used
keep up the good work keith!
Nice work! Have u thought of doing the 6G74 swap since you're pulling the motor out & selling you're 6G72? More potential there than the 6G72...

74 5 speed is nuts!
^ yes!
looks good Keith. Good luck
Yea lol exaaactly.. I hope it's finished before that too man. The cost of paint is killing its completion time, but it's what I really want.
Thanks man
Thanks. Looking quite different than when I first got it!
Yea me too. I forgot to take a picture of the welds, but it looked like stitches lol! I'll like this car even more knowing its got pieces of the original G on it.
Thanks man. The goal is to make it 100% to my liking =)
I have four 6g72's now. I would be dumb not to keep boosting and building, imo.
Thanks man. Every weekend brings me a little closer...
IDK, the 74 just seems like a more plausible platform to upgrade with more power potential. If u sold all those 72's you'd have enough money to buy a 74, build & boost it probably. It bolts up without wiring harness/ECU mods IIRC, and will exceed your expectations of HP in contrast to the 72. The 72 has been boosted before, havent seen a boosted 74 on here yet. Just my opinion..

I'm really looking forward to the outcome dude. Hope it all goes well.
Great job so far...Workin' pretty fast there. I wish I could come down & help out...

Go big. Do a 74!
Here's the past 2 weekends progress (3/6). Rust is a Pain in the ASSS!!! I'm positive I got everything though and that's what counts.

I drilled out the clutch pedal and wire holes, cut the jdm heads out of the radiator support. I'm just going to re-locate the battery while I've got everything apart.
This weekend will be fixing the rest of that rear quarter. I'm having line up issues with it right now but a few adjustments and I should have it. The only thing left is to do after the rear quarter is fixing dents around the car. I need to sand the car down and and prime it. I plan on painting/clearing the engine bay so I can put the engine/tranny in. Then I can move it to the other bay to spray the rest. If this weekends body fixing goes well, It should be smooth sailing from there.
This weekends progress 3/13

dang dude! looks tight lol, I love spot welding.. hey do you need the old style fogs? can't tell if they are in there or not
Great work! Major reconstructive plastic surgery there! LOL! Are u planning on going with Super VR4 sides to match up with the lines & height of the front bumper?
Sent from "Straight Outta Cali" using Tapatalk
I was wondering where you went haha. Looks great man nice work.
Thanks! I don't need the old style fogs. That's what's being put in the bumper. Still scratching my head on how I'm going to mount the projectors, but I'll figure something out.
Lol no kidding! Rust and no body line would have been harder to "fix". I plan on old style side skirts yes, but it will be painted first. Unfortunately I need the car to be on the road. I'll just end up painting the skirts later.
Been busy for sure. I can't wait til I'm out of school.
Bumper came out great Keith, keep up the good work.
Keith your a BEAST!!! lol
Keith, I should pay you and your brother to paint my car! Good work, keep up updated.
