Happy New Year!! Well, update on the G, the transmission went out as well as a plethora of other things that were starting to go wrong, so I bought this.

Its not the most stylish car on the outside, but it's a 2002 Honda Accord EX with 148K on the clock. There is really only one bad scratch and its on the rear driver side door, and the only rust is on the passenger rear fender, and its not even visible from the outside yet (who knows for how much longer though, this is the midwest). The interior of the car is what really sold me on it. It is very clean, leather has no rips (yet), dual power seats, power sunroof, the nicer sound system, climate control, and a couple other things I always wish the G had. The color of the car is not my favorite, but I couldn't really afford to be picky with a week left till I go back to college. It has ABS, traction control, cruise, 3.0 VTEC V6 engine and an automatic transmission. I was trying to avoid another automatic but the car really was a good deal. I came across the car while at a used car lot looking at an Eclipse. Unfortunately, it was another dud Eclipse, multiple badly repainted body panels, 180K miles, and the engine seemed to have a couple issues so I started looking around and found the Accord. So far I'm pleased with it, although I have only put 50 miles on it so far. The ride is very smooth and the V6 engine is a lot faster than the 4cyl G. It throws you back a little when you get on it. The dealer did quite a bit of upkeep an maintenance on the car before I bought it as well. It might not be the best car ever, but I know Hondas are reliable and this one was in great shape so I couldn't pass it up.
My plans for the car are:
Full LED replacement on the interior
Factory rear spoiler (doesn't look right without it imho)
New headlights
HID
Subs from the G
New passenger tweeter (blown)
Single DIN Headunit w/bluetooth
Keyless entry
Tint
Thats all I can think of right now.
Shoutout to RedGalant2k1 for all of your help!
Good find.
On the new headlights di a retrofit. Skip the cheesy ebay projector lights. You'll be much happier with the light output.
I'v thought about doing that actually, and you guys just backed up that thought! I'll do more research and see what I can do!
Glad to help! Those V6 Accords are nice cars, and the only ones to buy imo, the 4cyl is junk.
Nice ride bro sorry about your loss for the G
Nice pick up on the accord, that was actually the route I had plan to take before getting my galant.
Got my headunit and subs installed in the accord. still tweaking the SWI to get it to work, instructions are confusing AF. Anyways, once everything was all hooked up and functioning, I turned the subs on (had them off on the headunit) and there was very little bass.. Like very little. I went and looked at the subs and they are moving, but barely. First thing I check was the gains on the amp, they were all halfway up. I turned them all the way up and down and they made little to no difference. My next thought was the headunit, so i checked all the settings and they were the exact same as before. If I cranked up the bass boost it got noticeably louder, but crazy distorted like I was expecting. The only thing I can think of is I have the subs wired wrong in the box, and I can't figure out how (still learning car audio keep in mind in mind haha). Heres my amp, Subs (2 of them), and heres how I wired them.

Any thoughts?
Your lowpass or high pass filters.
Adjust them properly
Sounds to me like the subs are wired wrong. Take the subs out of the box, mark which wires are positive and negative, then proceed to rewire them and retest.
Adjusting them did nothing, I agree with Red on this one. Going to have to wait till mid Feb till I'm back home I'm afraid. I am impressed with the factory premium speakers in the Accord, they sound really good! I miss the G though :090:, the Accord just does't feel as sporty even with the larger engine.
Hey guys! I would like you opinion. I really like the factory headlights on the accord, and I really don't like any of the projectors headlights that I have found. So, what I want to do is buy these (black with amber strip) and retrofit them with projectors and HIDs eventually. But, I also want to add some LEDs in the amber strip along the bottom of the lights and have them flash with the turn signals. Any clue how hard it would be? I think it would be doable and worth it because they would be custom to my car only and give it more of a VIP "Audi" style in the front.
You can just open your stock lights and paint the shrouds black. And clean and polish the lens inside and out. Its very doable.
Check out theretrofitsource website
I want to start from scratch, all new headlights. Mainly since I have no clue how long it will take me to complete and I still have to drive the car. I've checked out theretrofitsource and that's who I'm going to get that stuff from, but what about the orange LEDs in the strip?
They have everything there.
Well, update on the Accord lights (I know its not a G but I'm proud of it and the Accord forum I'm on is kind of just bleh).
Decided to wait on the retrofit for a while, but still wanted to do something to them so this is what I've done.

The LEDs are completely installed in this picture, can't even see them when they're off and that was my intention.

http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/...ps57ncprht.jpg
Some trimming was required.

They are switch back LED strips that I got online and original they came in a white rubbery tube but I didn't like how you could easily see the rubber tube when the lights were off so I took them apart. I've tested the LEDs and they are really bright! The amber ones could still be a little brighter but they look like they will do the job just fine. Still waiting on the second set of LEDs to finish the passenger side, then I'll get the housings put back together and the lights installed.

What they look like fresh out of the box.

Carefully pull of the end and then pull the LEDs out.
http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4fsov2ht.jpg
Heatshrunk the connectors just to be safe.
http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/...pswohkq2dk.jpg
The LEDs in the chrome reflector can be easily put into the housing, not cutting or trimming required.
http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/...psgof4tdx8.jpg
Had to drill some holes to get the LEDs in the much shallower area of the headlight.
http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/...pssiqlkwom.jpg
Trimming about 2 inches off one of the strips so it will fit.
http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9okgnb6z.jpg
This is the hole that I'm going to run the wires through to exit the housing. Convenient.
Morimoto mini H1 projectors on the way.
Got the Morimoto H1 mini projectors mounted and the lenses lightly pressed back on to keep the dust out while I test them over spring break.

Those look way better than anything you could have found aftermarket on ebay or online. Not only that they are going to outperform the aftermarket sets by a long shot, just you wait and see!
nice car i had some ideas for the main light but i=I was afraid if i opened the light bulb housing it could cause water leakage in side and fog the housing. cause i have one of my fog lights currently in that condition.
Going to take the risk and have some special glue for the sticking
Looking good, except the fact that it is a Honduh! Hahaha!
Haha thanks! I miss the Galant, mostly the looks of it. The Accord has a lot of stuff my G never had tho, like climate control and a V6, and traction control, and leather, and a sunroof, and 6 speaker sound system, and a million other little things. My opinion is it was worth the upgrade.
Headlights looking awesome man!
Just realized I never posted the finished product.. My Bad.

Overall, the headlights I made are one of the few things I still like about the Accord. I have had a ton of issues with it and it's really hard putting more into a car you don't like.. I hope to be moving on from this car after this summer, but we'll see what all plays out.
