If its by FP, red?
Black?
Black was only for the Evo. Carl u picked the wrong color lol.
Its a Green but im going bigger than a Red. Juast have to have the center section machined for the bigger wheel and have it all balanced up and the setup is ready. maybe the single cam will see this setup at 12 psi for some fun when the new motor is done. i do have extra ARPs i can drop in to help with that. maybe run over 20 when im ready to swap the car haha.
I wanted to say black because green and red are the most common but I dont think many people run black because iirc, that's their biggest turbo?
Black is the biggest turbo in a stock appearing frame turbo for the Evos. DSMs got the red and the green. The green is a Garrett 50-1 wheel on a TD06 turbine shaft in a bolt on housing and the red is a Garrett 60-1 with a clipped TD06 wheel. I am going a little bigger. I should have the new compressor and cover soon and will post pics when time permits. Have 2 other cars to finish up first, both 92 talons.
My 7G is officially turbo at 11 today I started working on it and by 9 it was started and ready to go. Still messing with the tune really gotta do the fuel pump as at my boost level I ran outta fuel pressure but still runs 10-12 psi pretty smoothly. More pictures and updates coming
initial start up :)

Yay, about freaaking time. Looking strong!!
Thanks man it has been a long time coming. I'm kinda glad it took a while cuz now the setup is a lot better and bigger
Nice. Very quiet. Good job. You crank it before?
Wow, it almost sounds stock at idle, very smooth, very quiet. If it weren't for the huge FMIC it'd be a sleeper! Congrats!

Looking good
So here is the scoop. When first boosted I ended up running open downpipe, but i had my buddy weld me a custom test pipe and it is quieter than the thing was stock, I cant believe how quiet it is as its a full 3 inch all the way back, the Apex'i catback must make the difference with the resonator that is in it. I love being able to hear the turbo a lot more its pretty loud for what it is and man the tial sounds great.
Today I put in a Walbro 255 fuel pump and finished tuning the thing and it hits really hard, at base 12 psi it sticks you in the seat in any gear. still trying to richen it a little as the a/f wont change no matter how much I add and I know i should not be out of injector with 12 psi and a wally 255 and evo injectors. Still pulls like a champ so here is the setup in a nut shell,
Sleeper 20G turbo built by me
2G manifold fully ported with a Tial 40mm external gate set to 12 psi
FP ported O2 housing
3 inch turbo back ( ebay dp to Apexi N1 catback)
31x12x3 intercooler with 2.5" piping
Tial BOV
Evo 560cc Injectors
Aeromotive AFPR
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
Stock 2G turbo oil pan
1G return line with the flex section cut out and replaced with rubber hose
AEM UEGO Widebande
Autometer 30-30 boost/vac gauge
SAFC II to tune
I will note the intake setup was made utilizing half of a stock GVR4 intake pipe mated with my short ram intake as this made it where the wiring didnt have to be extended or anything.
looking great! lots of hard work paying off
How are you tuning the SAFC: RPM vs TPS or RPM vs MAP?
