Mystic i completely agree that it would be better to tune by pressure not throttle position
here is an updated video, hopefully driving and dyno videos coming soon.

quick rattle can job. gonna make the bumper fit this week then paint it again and then see if i cant make it to MOD this year and maybe turn the boost up....
SO here is an update, yes i killed the head gasket, probably coming boosted or not as i wasnt beating on the car, but since i am in engine building i will be taking this motor apart doing a full rebuild, BS delete and making it DOHC with my fully built head w/ FP3 cams. ARP everything ACL bearings and MLS head gasket. once going back in the car i will be changing to a 2g turbo FWD tranny and act 2100 as im sure the stock clutch wont like this setup at all. so i will be running a 2g eprom ecu and rewiring everything and making her run on last time then break in the motor and dyno it before taking it apart
Consider looking at a fidanza 3.2 clutch. The kevlar 4 puck engages every bit as smooth as the act street disc, takes a whole lot more abuse than the act street disc, and because of its design it is lighter and has less rotating mass than the street disc. less mass on the input shaft means your transmission will respond to input changes quicker, and with less stress on your synchros. ... You'll be able to change gears quicker as a result.
I loved my 3.2 and I've had both. I cooked the act after a while. Plus the 3.2 requires less pedal effort, bonus.
I have really been looking into it since I saw you use it. Thing is this is very short term as in still pretty set on parting this one out. Plan will be to have everything to drop into the next one, harness motor etc that's y it makes sense to make the harness work on this car for later on or else the harness would have been junked anyway.

motor is out and apart, have to get back to the shop thursday to go through it and then order parts. going to have fun with this stock block motor when its done. think im going to go with a 6152 or something that size. 2g ECU swap, not sure if im committed enough to drop the money for link right now but it is on the table as an option. i really miss driving this every day, but she will be up and running shortly into the new year hopefully. I really just want to hear this thing run with these cams lol
Seems like a T3/T4 is an ideal choice for the 4G64: Around 300whp like Voodoo's car to 600whp like the Time Attack 2G Eclipse Spyder...all of them FWD.
The nice thing is that the 6152 is in a bolt on housing and we logged 54 lb/minute at 25 psi when it was on the 1g and it spooled faster than an FP green setup we had on the gvr4 which was intriguing. This 6152 may get a facelift to a 40r compressor wheel and we will see what we can do from there.
Why link instead of a flashable 2g ECU? Have fun with the engine build :)
I have bounced around the ideas of the H8 2g ecu, evo ecu, or link. i have tuned with ecuflash and link and find link more user friendly. its a personal preference really as i feel more comfortable and have gotten better numbers on similarly setup cars with link over flashable ecus. and i got a 2g EPROM for 50 bucks from a kid who didnt realize what he had haha.
Just get a 6176 same price and handles more hp, also comes with our flange setup.
On 1 hand I agree with you, but the 6152 is a journal bearing which I will be rebuilding cuz my friend blew it, slight compressor wheel contact so throw on a huge Garrett 40r compressor, balance it and have something in the realm of a 37r which will be pretty fun. Only going to run 15-20 psi with the bottom end but should make good power for what she will be.
Remember they are balanced at the wheel, I would spend the money and have someone rebuild it as they are trained and have the right equipment for the job.
I have been rebuilding turbos for the passed 2 years. The 20g I had on my car was built by me. Every part is component balanced but I like to send it out to have it balanced as an assembly to remove the stack up imbalance. You know turbos are so simple to build. Precision/Garrett turbos have 6 bolts holding on the hotside, 6 on the compressor cover, compressor nut then slide off the wheel and hit out the turbine wheel then 4 bolts hold on the backing plate then that pops off and depending which year turbo you have the thrust bearing comes out or there are 3 torx head screws holding it in then pop it off and there is a convex little piece that holds the turbine shaft but since that's out that pulls out and then there are 2 circlips holding the bearings in just take then out then the bearings are out.polish the turbine shaft, polish the bore for the journal bearing then put the rebuild kit in. Very simple and those are the most involved turbos most will ever see. Holsets and Mitsu turbos are so simple.
pic of the 2 different style center sections, everything else is the same besides the bolt holes

not much progress lately just prepping for later on.
GS gauge cluster is in

rebuilt the 6152 with a some upgrades

still has the precision stage 5 turbine wheel, brand new 3582r compressor wheel and went with a 4 inch inlet/ 2.5 out anti surge compressor cover. also had it balanced as an assembly which is something precision usually overlooks as everything is component balanced, so i should see a slight increase in how fast it spools and it spooled fine before.
Where did you get the cluster from?
i got it from EKSZ when he went to grab parts off a GS before i bought the GS last summer
Nice cluster! I missed my opportunity to get one a while back when I found a gs in the jy. Now iam on the hunt...
