Nice, the wheels themselves are +30mm right? And are the spacers in front AND rear, or just the front?

ASTIG, I love your car man!! just beautiful!!!cant wait to see some day photos.
Pete! Where did you get that from? Im guessing John, lol. thanks only took two photos of my car at this show. Cars were to close i didnt like it, but fun.
thanks.
the wheels are 30mm offset 18x8 with 15 mm spacers.
that is nice!
Wow astig....I think that is the sickest wheel setup I have seen on a G to date.....so flush!
thanks. I just finished cutting the fender lip in the rear for more clearance. There was some slight rubbing of the tires, because I dont want to add any more camber to the rear. I hope my neighbors didnt hear my rotozip.
there's still work to be done...still need to do some cutting into the front fenders and the flares. But that can wait till spring. Im gonna put back my winter wheels/tires and gonna raise the car up a bit tomorrow.
As far as the ride goes. I have the stiffness at 16/36 in all corners and it's just slightly harsher. but not bouncy. it definiteley feels more planted to the ground and has less of a body roll...and that's even without the front swaybar connected, because I had to cut the endlinks off...damn bolt and nut seized. just need to get an alignment tomorrow.
astig ur car is one of the sickest G's ive seen. keep it up. hopefully u come to any of the meets this year.
ASTIG, very very nice outcome. im glad you cambering in those fronts to get them flush. i think the only thing i would do now is probably go with a hubcentric 25mm spacer in the rear to help it be as flush as the fronts and have those fenders cut back to work with the new offset. the car is a model of cleanliness as it is though and i would gladly park next to you. lol. great job bro. that list i have for you should be in your inbox by the end of the day.
aw marc, you had to shut me out like that?! lol i think mine would look a lot better than i used to if i just dropped it a little more with the summer wheel setup i have. those rotas look so epic from the side because of how concave they are for a fwd setup.

now that is SICK!
hey boost, what are your wheel/tire specs?
summer: Rota Boost 17X8.5 35mm offset on Hankook Z212's 225/45/17 f/r
winter: Stock EVO 8 wheels on bridgestone potenza G019's 225/45/17
thanks man, but i still absolutely love the way your car looks with the STi colored brembos. did you do them yourself?
yes, painted them myself. the paint isnt hi-temp caliper paint, but it was a special ordered paint. but I did use hi temp clear coat and brembo decals. so far they are holding up very well...no brownboo yet. hehe.
I love those rota boosts, I was thinking about those, but couldnt pass up the cheap MB wheels.
about the rears, you planning on putting on some neg camber right? I kinda hate the fender flares, because it just makes it even harder to get the wheels and tires to sit flush. on mine, the original rear fenders has been trimmed to about 3mm, but the flares are adding about 15mm. maybe thats why Triggermauve only has front flares.
thanks bro!
boost you'll need slicks!!! ;)
so trigg only has front flares huh, hmm ill have to take a look at how that flows. but yeah i get what you are saying about the flares adding the need for more offset. i know that if you go all the way out to the edge of the original fender then it should gain you some more clearance. im going to cut mine nearly to the very edge so i can fit at least a 235 under her. oh and ASTIG, as far as tires go, im going to try and get some Toyo R888's or some Nitto NT-01's for the track this summer. should be sick.
Marc, its all good bro, i just wanted to stay on your mind. lol no homo
just borrowing a pic of trigg's car.

The ol' brown 86 toyota cressida in the back. That car was great til the timing belt snapped. Fixed now.
it's a firmer ride on about 50% setting on all fours. but turning and cornering has never been better. It feels like the car is on rails. got an alignment done today. toe was out of whack front and rear...no surprise...it looked bad just looking at it before. THe fronts are at about -1.2 and -1.4 (L/R) camber. rears at about -1.0 and -0.4 on each side. I told the guy not to mess with the rear camber, but I guess he got too excited. No biggie, It's easy to get that fixed. I also had new Moog endlinks put on. Im also still waiting for my DC sports STB.
i'm running 225/40 tires and 18" x 8.5 wheels at the moment, and all my tires sit perfectly flush with my fenders (with the exception of the typical negative camber resulting from a 2" drop in the rear, which i plan to correct soon with some D2 coilovers anyway).
My question is: can we fit 235 tires on our 8G as long as we just cut the rear fender enough? i mean 235's wont rub on the inside either? i really want to verify this becase i'm getting ready to buy some new tires next week and i really want to get 235's all around.
btw: boost, you're the only person who i've seen on this site who's wheels sit just as fulsh as mine all around. good job.
I"m running 235's with no problems, my rear fenders are rolled for now, but I only have like -1.2 camber out back, I'm gonna cut them once the weather warms up, and then I'll make it 0, and I'm dropped on coilovers. Depending on how far you wanna drop in the front, you'll have to run some negative camber if you don't have fender flares, or else you'll rub, my front fenders are rolled as well, so I only rub on huge bumps, but the front of my car is slammed almost as far as it will go.
here's the picturesI have now, I'll go snap some more if you need.

^yeah but the thing about it is that i'm about 1 inch and a half lower than you in the rear, and i dont want to rub.
well, you won't rub on the inside, because when I first got the coilovers, my rear was slammed as well, I was tucking tire, but it looked stupid cuz the front's couldn't go as low, as long as your roll your fenders you should be fine if you run some negative camber, I was running about -2.3, something like that, and I didn't rub slammed in the rear with rolled fenders. ff you want to run camber corrected, you'll have to do some cutting of the lip, which is what I'm gonna do, what size wheels are you running 17's or 18's?
yeah i definitely plan to do some cutting on my rear fender and some camber correction as well.
i'm running 18's which are 8.5 width.
heres some old pics of my current but temporary setup..
