MKO's AWD/Turbo/DOHC/5 Speed Project

Well I've taken the glass World spec headlight apart in order to to a projector retrofit. The usual 200-250 for 15min in the oven did the trick.

I got the projectors at the junkyard for really cheap so why not try.

And now the question: Since i'll be using the stock H4 bulb which has low and high beams which are both one when the high beams are switched on, Do I need that metal plate inside? I'm pretty sure it's for low beams, but will it matter for high beams?

should have bought this one it has been on ebay for awhile.

yeah you'll want to leave the shield in. the whole dual filament goes out the window once you use a projector instead of a parabolic reflector. If you take the shield out, you will blind people.

Nah man, cuz you dont know how much i paid for this bumper.

When I get the white GS I sprayed the gunmetal bezels gloss black. Kinda cool you could pretty much paint them any color you like for an easy paint match, contrast, or accent.

A good use of an old t-shirt......lol

when i seen that you where doing this i thought of how could we get rid of the luver things in the lens http://www.rayotek.com/molded_glass.htm so having a custom new lens made would be sweet

I like the World specs, but if I want some custom Id def go with that. Thanks for the link

well if we get enough people to possibly want to have clear lenses and not lose the glass we could see about gettiing them made.

Clear lenses are only good for projectors. With regular halogen bulbs the light output is horrible.

Thats what im saying if you write up a tutorial more people could do them, i want to do them i just dont know where to start and all the steps you took to make them right

maybe all do another retrofit on US spec heads and then do a tutorial

the engine bay looks good,but i see you need a timing cover there.

I do, but I cant find it for cheap. I need a middle t-belt cover

you just need the middle cover?did you look at extremepsi?

yeah its like 40 some dollars plus shipping. I cant spend that on a tiny piece of plastic
