Thanks man! I wish it wasn't so cold out here or else I would've got the timing belt and BS belt and water pump done by now.

Looking nice Jigz! Yeah he cold not helping your cause right now, I borrowed a propane powered heater when Idid the timing belt n water pump. Definitely kept me warm and able to work.
So Sick! I really like the color and the look of your car.
Nice job with tidying things up under the hood..good luck with preparation for your tune
Small update. Shaved valve cover, tucked throttle cable, new valve cover and ignition coil bolts. Better pictures once the car is fully wrapped up.
Still want to grab the MAPerfromance exhaust manifold heatshield to finish the engine clean up.

Interior buttoned up, need to find the center vents.

What is that line to the left of the colum below the light lever?
In-cabin Boost Controller
Sick!.. or should I say Sosick?
I like the shaved valve cover! Good stuff man.
I feeling it man, love the VC. You should just get a stock evo heatshield, cheaper and more common, unless you want dat bling haha
Yeahhh Buddyy
Thank you! I got new polished bolts as well.
Thank you!
I was also thinking that but I want to kinda have a different look especially because the intake and catch can is chrome and the piping is brushed stainless.
that valve cover is tits!
i just browsed bavk to page 31 and i finally saw how you were able to fit the evo turbo with the stock manifold. now where did you get those spacers and extended studs? how much did you have to grind off the compressor housing. i just got a quote of 900 bucks to build a custom manifold and i cant see myself spending that much and it not really being necessary right now.
edit......engine bay and inerior look awesome. so clean, i love it!
I got the flanges from CXRacing. I used allen head bolts instead of studs and got them from ACE.
I trimmed the housing until it fit. I wrapped the starter in heat reflective tape and removed the heat shield for clearance.
Thank you I am working hard to make the car look clean.

Wow I haven't been here in a while now. Last time i checked your build the car was silver haha but i have you on fb so i noticed the new color ;)
The build looks amazing.
I have a question. what brand is your mbc? I was checking how to do this set up and i found out you need a sort of T fitting to run one vaccuum line into the cabin and be able to controll boost.

Thanks man. The In-cabin Hallman has the vacuum soruce stay under the hood. The threaded rod is the long part that goes into the cabin.
Yeah I had the oil pressure gauge in the left side vent before and I through the old vent away.
how much shipped to 60136
Looks awesome Jigz! I gotta come by and see this in person. Can't wait till better weather and see your car on the road again.
Short video from today. The wife and I ran to walmart and the route we take has a few good corners so I figured I'd catch it on the go pro. enjoy. I did a 1st-4th gear 0-100 pull as well towards the end.
http://youtu.be/IVXPrTp6OWM
hopefully I can get more go pro footage soon.
Oh yeah! That was a nice little video bro. Haha in the beginning I was eyeing that diesel like whoa bro where you going?! LOL
That was at 15lbs first tune by Devin right? Pulls nice and smooth and tracks those corners. That cross was a good indicator of the pulls and the cornering
Thanks my dude and yeah it's a 15psi street tune. Goin back for the dyno the 18th. He advised me to switch to race gas so I can use the whole powerband. He was having trouble keeping knock down under 2k rpm. I guess 15psi and 9.7:1 compression on that little turbo is too much pressure for that low of an RPM. Car feels solid otherwise though. He also praised on the build. He said my galant is more solid than most of the evos that go in there. That on its own made to me is a huge accomplishment.
Nice! Meh my theory is tune it on the fuel you will run the car on.
I'm not surprised the knock was an issue under 2k as the turbo wants to spool constantly. I remember when I was on a 16g lol
Oh and I'm sure some of the things he sees is ridiculous haha. Thats an awesome feeling to know your work done in a garage is better than what some people/shops accomplish :)
I cant wait to see the results of the tune! What else do you have left to do from your list?
Wait isnt the comp ratio on the 00+ motors 9.5:1 the earlier ones had the bowled pistons and 9.0:1 and over time with ring blow by it goes down also
Mines an 02 4g64.
wait wut? did I miss a discovery? fsm says 9.0:1 for 00+ 4g64?
edit: Oh this is very interesting. 2000-2002 eclipse fsm 11A-3 says 9.0:1 compression ratio at the top of the page!
2000-2002 eclipse fsm 11B-64 says 9.5:1 at the bottom of the page! :O
I read on here somewhere it was 9.7:1 but nontheless whether its 9.5:1 or 9.7:1, with a turbo that wants to be fully spooled at 2500rpm the lower powerband gets a beating.
Yeah I plan on keeping it on 93 for the time being and maybe throw in a3-4 gallons of 100 octane for my track days to keep it from detonating itself to pieces through the crazy heatsoaking that goes on on a road course.
I pretty much am done. I just bought a house so I am not planning on doing anything more but maybe RRE's race pads and rotors. It's time to enjoy the fruits of my labor and drive the shit out of my car! haha.
Maybe in a couple of years I'll put a better motor in it and run it on a stand alone. For now, I am fairly content with BabyG. She doesnt need to be CRAZY fast as long as she can corner and have some pep to her I am happy.
^i feel you man, I"m at exactly the same point, the one thing I would suggest for you would be an LSD when you can swing it, makes a world of difference and how you can enjoy your car.
For sure man no matter really its only a 10 whp difference with that .5-.7 bump :)
Heck yeah man I totally agree. are your bushings and suspension all in order? thats a biggy for sure.
Good advice. those one tire fires get old after a while
Car looks good. Can't wait to see it in person. Speaking of that we should get together and have a TCGIL meet soon
That's the other thing I am planning on doing are the susp bushings. As far as an LSD goes if I somehow come up with the cash it might happen this year.
Jerry, no worries I will be planning a TGCIL meet here soon!
If you go with a LSD, it changes everything about how fwd feels. I drove my car again last night and it literally feels like a completely different animal. There's not much of a better feeling than being able to hook the power in lower gears that only break loose with the open diff.
What knock sensor are you using?
you using evo ROM?
I am using the stock knock sensor and yes the car is on an evo ecu.
^it's actually not that bad, you can knock it out in 5-6 hours if you don't have rust on your car
Played with the camera a bit today. Feels good to snap pictures with my SLR again. I think the lens is starting to crap out though.
