No I got one. Thanks tho.
Cool. Let's see some photos of this beast up and running.
I can't wait to see your beast up and going again
Very soon guys! Im workin on it.
Well, Im having these problems with the black box ECU. I get on it, and the car bogs and runs super rich at all times. I go and install the stock ECU, compensate it with the SAFC and she was happily boosting. IDK.
I did a very much needed maintenance to the red G in the past couple of days - turbo rebuild, AGX all around, new tires, new rear lateral control arms, new brake pads, oil change, coolant flush and a coat of wax.
I need to get it aligned now.Actually both cars need alignment.
As for the green G - I'll have the majority of the parts that I need tomorrow and hopefully I will finally be able to stop the car w/o pumping the pedal.I have to sort things out with fuel management system and hopefully by the end of the week she'll be ready for tags.
Finally the car has brakes and power steering.
still cant make the fogs to work. Any input would be appreciated!
dammit post some damn photos already
^ what he said lol
I sometimes have to kick my driver side fog light to get it to turn on lol (i'm too lazy to take off my bumper cover and track down the wiring issue)
LOL....you dont like being teased now do you? Im gonna post pictures very soon guys.
on a side note - I got the car aligned today. But, there's always a BUT, it developed a strange boost leak and now I have these strange AFRs and running super rich as soon as I take off.
I gonna do a BLT tomorrow and hopefully she'll be ready for the road.
I find myself using "hopefully" very often these days...lol
At least you're almost done. I'm not even close lol. Stop being negative.

Talk about tease. Thought there was gonna be a pic but it's just white tisk tisk LOL :D
Looks good with the paint matched bumper and skirts! And I love the interior I would love to do that to my car someday.
Why didn't you paint match the spoiler why you were at it? Just felt like rocking the stock one ;]
Also I can't remember, the green one is dropped right?
Well the fronts are 2g AGX with stock 2g springs. It has a natural drop of about an 1'' due to shock being shorter this much.
The rears are 4g AGX with stock 3g springs which gives it a perfect drop for a DD. I had 2g AGX with stock 2g springs in the rear, but the spring perch sits too low which gave it about 2'' drop which was too much for this car. I have them installed on the red one since it has camber kits.
The other spoiler is painted just not installed - Im going for the sleeper winter look.
Good info, I really love the stance of it hoping to give mine a similar look.
Yeah I figured it was, just teasin ya
God I wish it would get cold down here already.... its just humid and gross our last "cold front" lasted 2 days down to 40 at night 65 in the day but now its back to being like 70 at night and high 80's/90's with at least 70% humidity... just terrible
The suspension on the Avenger/Sebring coupe is stiffer than the 7g naturally. The springs are the same for both just different struts for Avenger(firmer) and Sebring(softer). The front struts don't lower the car (7g) at all so stick with the 2g fronts with 8g/3g or Avenger rears.
MKO, how long are the 2g front struts? The 7g and Avenger ones are about the same height.
^ They are about 1'' shorter, then add the weight of the car and it gives it pretty nice drop. The pics a below:

Please tell me the red seats are gonna go
Oh yes as soon as find stock seats in good condition. I dont like them at all, but thats what i have at the moment.
Check out stock seats from other cars too. I've been very happy with my 90's Celica seats. Much better support for canyon carving. I've also got 2000 or so Celica seats in my '89 4Runner. Side bolstering isn't as good for a skinny guy but for someone bigger they'd be more comfortable. They did take some fabrication to install though. Other ones I've eyeballed are RX8, Evo, WRX. All factory seats so they're built well and comfortable for long hauls.
The green G came home for the first time tonight.
Well I have bad news. Pulled the spark plugs today and all of them had oil. There was oil on top of piston dishes too.
I think I might have toasted the valve seals.
Another project ahead of me.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I finally get my 7g running again and the 7g I inspire to be goes down!!!
Man I hope its just the valve seals, Good luck man and keep us updated!
One car gets up and going, the other one goes down. Life of a Mitsu tuner I guess..good luck in solving the problem Chris.
Oh, well that sucks even more because he just got it running.
i dont have heat, but the heater hoses are hot. Im thinking the blender is damaged. Any other opinions?
From the service manual: (I dont understand how vacuum goes to heater)
Low Coolant Level
Incorrect thermostat.
Restricted coolant flow through heater core.
Heater hoses plugged.
Misadjusted control cable.
Sticking heater control valve.
Vacuum hose leaking.
Vacuum hose blocked.
Vacuum motors inoperative.
Blocked air inlet.
Inoperative heater blower motor.
Oil residue on heater core fins.
Dirt on heater core fins.
If it is hot on both in and out then the problem is flow, it is probably partially plugged internally. This is what I do just disconnect both core lines so isolating the heater core, flush with water, plug one hose and pour polyzag directly into the other until full then let it sit for just a couple minutes and then flush with water in both directions. It is acidic so don't leave it in for more than 2-3 minutes, be careful use gloves and glasses and you may want to get some longer hoses so you can add and flush outside that sweet engine bay.
I somehow managed to strip all teeth of the flywheel ring gear, so as of today my green Galant is down.
I knew the red Galant had skipped timing, so I did a timing belt job in a gas station parking lot in 20 degree weather with wind chill. She's up and running and boy did I miss her. I forgot how quick the red G was.

Man that sucks about the GS, what kind of flywheel was it? Did it cause any damages, or is the flywheel the only casualty?
Also sucks about having to do the timing job where you did lol but at least it wasn't damaged!
it was a brand new fidanza flywheel. Thats why I dont understand how. If I bought it used then OK I can accept it, but damn it only has 5k miles on it
Arent those replaceable though?
Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
they are, its just the work I dont have time and place to do
oh wow! how in the heck does that happen? and i bet you got a lot of stares at the gas station haha
that sucks i have a fidanza with less than 5k in mine... that makes me nervous...
^youll be fine, I had no issues with mine
