Also, aiming down so you don't glare is dangerous. It lights up your foreground so much so that your eyes adjust to the intense light in front of your car and the dark parts out in front of your light become invisible because your night sensitivity is gone.
Also, 10000K (or 10k Kelvin, the K in light temps stands for Kelvin, not kilo) isn't as bright to your eyes because blue hues are the hardest for our eyes to pick up. So you shine this high Kelvin light on the ground and not nearly as much comes back because it's being scattered all around, but all that scattered light is in the eyes of oncoming cars and those who are in front of you. I'd need output pics to verify, but I'm certain those lights are not as great as you think bro.
What I'd do then is buy a cheap pair of OEM replacement lights and retro those, you can find a pair of them on Amazon for around $80. Put a quality set of projectors in there, get a nice shroud, some paint, some CCFL halo's (if you like that kind of thing) and you'd have some badass heads that really light up the road very well without blinding others.
That link Victor posted up from HIDPlanet, I have posted in that thread plenty times, I'm even on the last page. Read up on HIDPlanet, browse some retro's, read the University and the links from the first page, and be converted man!
