Took my gts engine apart, just to see the damage, I'm suprised the car ran at all when I had put it back in time on the highway.

You can see where the intake valves hit off the pistons, funny the pistons seem to be in good condition still.

I also took the 6g74 out of the diamante at the yard. 107k miles and looks like the engine was taken care of inside.

^^ your Timing belt went out on the highway?
yea, when I was leaving the TGC meet in Queens ny. I had to tow it with the gsx and leave it at Qnz's house overnight. I'll never forget how scared I was for everyone's safety while taking the timing belt off and re-adjusting it between the highway and an exit.Quote:

Wow those heads were silver clean, the wife's Diamante heads were clean too, but they had a golden yellow color to the casting where yours is silver/gray, damn shame about that motor. Congrats on the apparent COTM win too!
