lip was pulled off and striped down fully and all the bumpiness of the fiberglass is being sanded out!
The VRG lip looks great on the 8g-b bumper
Looks great but looks like you need to shave it down some more. The line is not straight.
"lip was pulled off and striped down fully and all the bumpiness of the fiberglass is being sanded out!"
Hehe yep already being taken care of. I'll tell you what the sanding was and still is the hardest part of this project.
Oh and Njj I know first time I saw the vrg lip on the 8g-b front end I knew that was the front end for me lol
Yes dude, sanding is a PITA. I 've been sanding my new bumper and grill, had a small scratch on the bottom plus I covered the spot in the middle where the license plate used to be so the bumper is flush.
I don't think it would, it would open up that front opening but that's just how I see it.
^ yup i gota get the body shop to fill mine i hate that indent for the plate
^Yup that's the first thing I did, get rid of that.^
idk when i finish this jdm front ill see what im gonna do, i sure wish u could fit an intercooler behind it
thats never going to happen, thats why i had to ditch that vrg bumper for the newstyle..the Vrg+lip is the bestttt jdm front end imo
i might end up selling it for a old style vr4, if i decide to boost it
you can defuinately fit a smaller fmic behind there with a little trimming to the back of the bumper....look for sleek gtz's car he cut out the fins and molded the plate hole in the front of the bumper looks really good
i just dont like having a big gap there showing the ugly power steering cooler and everything. and even if you could run a small fmic there would be no room for piping without cutting all the way through the bumper
You have to trim the back of the bumper on any bumper. Its not a big deal. I trimmed the back of my JDM bumper and my USDM bumper. Probably could get by with a 2" or 2.5" core. I had a 3" core and I still fit it ok.
Install it on top and get the CF evo style hood.
why is there almost an entire page without pics in this thread? dummies.
here ill help.
