Yea im finally able to get out of here but im to lazy lol. My girlfriend is pushing me to move out finally
They'll do that, unfortunately. I loved living with my parents, no rent, money to blow on crap, no worries on finding a parking spot at night, I can't believe my 13 yr old sister complains about living there.
Shes like "Ugh I hate living here!"
Then I'm like fool you don't know how good you have it: Room, privacy, popps buys you nice clothes and gives you money to go out, and to top it off moms stocks up the fridge wit name brand shit!!
^^^ I love eating at my folks home. Lol!
lawl were you having a bar-b-q? "from First Picture"
Mitch gets the TGC title for longest build and worse luck of all time... Sucks man. I know your pain, my car is down now due to a harmonic balancer issue, not sure if it split or the bolts backed out but its just hanging there and left me stranded 2 weeks ago.
what can i do to my galant 99 es v6... i want to do it manual,, but i dont know how to start,, any help will be great,,, thanks
Finally got the time to have my turbo rebuilt and be able to work on this damn thing again, sending it out in a week or so should have the crap pile running again by may/june. Will keep everyone posted as i make progress with the car again.
Nice man, hopefully you will get it figured out this time. You are running it with the pipe thing you made for it for now arent you?
Well look who came back from the dead. Good news!
nope i just parked it for the winter, its at my grandpas house which is in the same sub division.
there was not point to having it running in the winter since i would not drive it.
was also thinking about getting a cheap turbo that i could just blow up if need be but then i would have to redo my whole exhaust setup anyways not worth the hassle. I figure that im going to run the oil off the head again instead of the oil filter block since i was not having a oiling problem until i moved it. i need to order a set of rod bearings though want to throw some new ones in while i have the bottom end pulled apart.
Planning on starting to work on the thing this week/weekend
Nice car bro, good luck with getting it to work right.
UPDATE!
Ok rough week, broke up with the girlfriend lol so car shit got pushed aside not to mention i put in 83 hrs at work the last two weeks thats 83 per week so 166hrs of work in two weeks, but the turbo leaves work on monday to go to boost labs and i ordered some new parts for the car, goal is up before june or just into june if work calms down.
Work has created such a stir WI state Governor Scott Walker is coming through our shop with all the local news papers and news stations, we have so much work its crazy and not enough people to fill the jobs. Scott Walker has done a great job for WI and i can not wait to shake his hand for all his hard work and efforts. will keep everyone posted if i have the time.
I wish I could work double shifts just for a couple months, I'd be so caked up. Keep the updates coming!
Turbo made it to boost lab today, have to wait and see what they want to do with it.
So what keeps happening to these turbos? Text me sometime about your setup and everything and maybe we can figure something out
Precision claims oil contamination, boost lab says bad rebuild..... You be the judge lol ill believe boost lab. Should have it back next friday or so they are busy but no big deal im in no rush.
Good luck man with the turbo. it sducks cause on one hand you want the a new turbo from mitsu but that like 2 grand and on other you are like wait I should be able to have this rebuilt no problem but people think they know what they are doing and might not. As a last resort try calling road race engineering and ask who they use to rebuild their turbos.

Precision always wants to kill you and get you to pay for a rebuild and new parts. They say oil contamination, but did they say what it is like bearing material or anything? Also, idk if you already have this but it may help to put a restrictor in the feed line from the oil filter housing as ball bearing turbos require less oil pressure, or just feed from the head as every dsm with a BB turbo I know feeds from the head and my best friend has run an FP3052 from the head for around 4 years and now runs a Precision 6776 the same way with no issues for thousands of miles.
True on the feed from head that 4g63 performance book says for ball bearings clean oil is especially important and to get max life use also an in line oil filter in the feed into the turbo as extra help for it.

Yea im going back to feeding from the head i had 0 issues when i was, never got the turbo out i have not had a ounce of time for the car but i did buy a bike which is paid for and not picked up lol

I really want to get this car up and running before my friend and i move out but with 70-80 hr weeks at work its really hard.
Plans for it atm
New rod bearings
Fix turbo
found a really rare item for the car that im going to buy
custom sway bars im going to make at work and have powder coated
custom aluminum rear control arms
custom aluminum solid motor mounts
lsd for the trans (winter)
custom aluminum solid sub frame bushings
TAKE TO ROAD AMERICA!
Time to make this thread active again, everything set in place to get this thing running, crower 288/288 cams will be ordered this week
turbo NEEDS RUBILD STILL never actually got it done its gonna happen no for sure
upgrading my rod bearings and possible going to forge the shit out of my engine
4g63 oil block is a must to get the proper oiling to the turbo
this car will be on the road or in a scrap yard in 2013
lol lets hope for it being on the road. weird about the turbo. i used a sandwich adapter with a restricted fitting on the turbo and never had a problem.
Turbo is on its way to tampa as we speak for the rebuild, also bought a new oil pressure gauge and a oil filter spacer block. Going to buy rod bearings tonight.
Yea those damn precision turbos are picky about their oil pressure
Should have the turbo back by the end of the week which means the car should be running by next weekend give or take a few days depending on what parts i will need to get it running again.
You and Rob should both come dyno with me.
Pft im not driving my car that far lol and i dont have tahoe to tow it there lol. Not to mention I doubt that dyno would like 3 400+ whp cars dynoing right in a row HAHA
Excuses excuses. I watched 25 cars dyno on Saturday and most of them put down over 400whp. You should come do the same. I know I will so long as the tires don't fricken spin...
My car would be nowhere near 400 whp
So? Mine will be closer to 5 so it'll make up for it.
^LOL! thats awesome
Oh that was low.
