I am curious how some of you even think that a CAI is going to suck in heated air from the engine bay? I mean, maybe I am not "up to par" with all the fancy Galant products out there, but from the wealth of other platforms I have worked on the CAI is something stuffed up behind the front bumper, nearly at the lowest level of the bumper for the obvious reason of not getting heat soaked. If you are running one of these systems there should be no heat soak issues at all. That is if in fact a properly engineered/designed CAI System is being used. I see a lot of folks here are running the short ram intake, which is essentially a filter just in place of the stock air box...set within the heat soaked engine bay...if you think it works great.
If you think the stock air box is "better", think again and look outside of the Galant world for a few other vehicles and look at how restrictive they too are designed. Also, speaking of "heat soaked intakes" have any of you actually looked at where the stock air box is located, and also the fact that the air inlet of the factory air box overlays this thing called a radiator...something that absorbs and cools the heated engine coolant??? Lets take the air inlet off so we have a huge hole to let more air flow in, guess what you are sucking in....hot air.
Not to be a dick people, but c'mon
