Hopefully within the next day or so depending on weather and my lazy ass lol
i had a 3g flywheel with a 2g clutch, its all the same, just the prices are cheaper for the 2g oddly....i never had any issues with it, just make sure u use an OEM TOB
Thanks for verifying that Denver.

Got the adjustable cam gears in. Also received the oil pump, the water pipe, and sanded the VC down for paint.
Lastly I dumped another $310 on machine work
how much were those cam gears?? And what brand are they??
Not sure what brand there are no brand markings on them, but I bought them off evom for $65 shipped
Nice. Moving up.
Thanks
So time for another update.
First these are the best socket holders I have ever used. The sockets dont fall off like the looped metal ones. Really handy, plus they were on sale for 12.99
http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMAG0779.jpg
So I talked to the machinst got some info and viola a box came in.
http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMAG0794.jpg
Inside this box was some pink shit and the stuff I ordered. Trans fluid, ACL tri-metal bearings, Supertech valve seals, and thrust bearings.
http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMAG0796.jpg
This was a nice total of $204
But the info I got from my machinist was the bearing size, my crank is cut 10/10, meaning the first step up in bearing size being .25mm since we are metric yo!!
Then I yanked the motor, it fought me tooth and nail.
http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMAG0786.jpg
It even fought back and it hurt like a sombitch too.
http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMAG0788.jpg
And now for some coolio pictures of random shit
http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMAG0782.jpg
http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/...723_165846.jpg
Good shit
it looks very similar. Its a joy and a pain, but its all worth it at the end. keep it up, I love seeing people building Galant engines. It makes me happy and Im sure it does the same for you.
Wtf. I smell discount.
who's doing your machine work?
Yeah I would hope his ass would.
The Machine Shop (that is the name of his business) It is a one man shop, and it is my buddys Dad who is the one man.
Anyways got parts in and painted the VC
Upper gasket set felpro of course
http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMAG0811.jpg
This is the same brand who makes the OEM one.
http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMAG0812.jpg
And painted VC
http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMAG0806.jpg
I cant decided wether to clear coat and leave it, or surface the letters and polish them. Then clear coat
Polish then clear.
That bearing isn't OEM. I think I have the same exact one iirc and now it makes noise. I have to check.
Autoanything
...aaand we're back on it!!

Started prepping the awd control arms for bushings and paint. Working on the rear subframe later tonight.
Oh snap!
subscribe!!!!!
just the thought of s monster allmotor awd:103:
i know it will be turbo. too much weight to pull N/A
nice setup love the compression
Nice work....waiting patiently for updates
Wont be all motor. Numbers I have crunched have put the compression ratio north of 11.0. So some work will need to be done to fix this, most likely shaving the pistons down. W-2 came in so hoping to buy coilovers within the month. Will be the first to have this brand adapted to the car. Fingers crossed.
u still can run boost at tht compression. but is all about timing and rich tunning and low boost. people do get scare of high compression boost. yea i know is risky but is fun and response is increible. but really hoping u figure ur setup out and reach ur specs. dont keep us in the dark. lol
So I wrecked my audi now I need a car. So the plan is dump a ton of money into this project to get bare minimal dd status.

Cams and Jdm 3 bar map sensor
tht sucks. Hope wasnt to bad (accident) dang It i was hoping to have another high compression boost galant. Hopefully is not to far in the future tht u get back on build. But priorities are always more important.
Engine back stayin sliver?
Negative, but like I said I dont talk till its done.
Sent some suspension measurements out and hoping to send payment by the end of the week.

New core support and mishimoto evo 5 radiator. Since there is very little aftermarket support for this car I have to adapt other model parts to it. The evo 5 radiator top outlet is 8 inches to the left which places it closer to the inlet on the head.

But it can't be just a bolt in affair. Not sure whether I am having the pegs moved or making new mounts on the core support.

Porting out the head. Gasket matching the intake, smoothing the ports, removing the sharp lips near the valve seat, and all that jazz.
https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5462/...d7a6d8b764.jpg
This is only the first pass with 80 grit.
https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7628/...d8bbc1027a.jpg
Also knife edging the divider this port still needs some work before the final grits.
i just saw this saying that you wanna get this to a dd status. what r the plans to make it run and what is your anticipated completion date ?
Basically keep plugging along buying tons of parts. Goal is running by June. Fully driving by July.
Awd??
Nope fwd out the gate. Then awd
Ok this makes sense.
