In the past, I've always wish my car was Bogeta Beige like everyone else so putting CF parts wouldn't look tacky as opposed on a Gold beige car. Seeing yours, DangerDANJ, Galantv600, Icedout, and couple others really pull it off. The only other CF inspiration from a gold colored G was Prophet but if I look back on what I went through, the color just doesn't flow well with CF. That's why I'm changing my game to resemble more like NJFudge's car: calm and subtle. If I did this style way back, I couldn't imagine how much money I could of saved on much bigger things... :facepalm:
CF = Expensive.
no neccisarily...depending on the shop that paints it and what kind of paint you have. like mine is a 3 stage tri coat process making the paint and labor more then say your paint which is only a 1 step (not including clear) and essentially an off the shelf color... not to mention cf needs to be clearcoated anyway. if you just leave it with the gel coating, over time it will get that yellow oxidation and will take even more work to get it to look right again.
but for the most part with paint cost etc it does even itself out usually
I've had all the CF on my car cleared before it went on, and it's really not very spendy, and I realize that it costs more initially, but it's also a very different look compared to just regular old painted parts, plus, if you get bored of it, you can paint it :)
What?! I didnt take your name! You took Mine! LOL! I got my Car First, December 14, 2006, & right then & there I named her IVORY! LOLOL!
Like the wheels on there, looks good, but not feeling the stretched tires on 18's, looks better on 19"s or 20"s IMO bcz of less sidewall height...
x2
nice!
Because it's lighter
Unless your trying to race your car, I don't think your saving much weight. Pointless investment to me.
Pic before another foot of snow.
