Is there any type of primer in particular that should be used, I have 4 cans of white sandable primer in my basement right now. and how much paint is that? I have to do a front and rear bumper, how much do you think I would need?

Well guys, sorry to burst your bubble but if your going to do it, do it right. I, myself would not just paint the bumper because you will be able to tell the difference in color shades. What I do and most shops do is paint the front bumper and both fenders. If you just do teh bumper, it will stick out. Just heads up.
I figured the tone would be off by a little but still...
Whew! I just finished the clearcoat today afternoon .. Here are some pics! Enjoy!

looks really good. not good for painting it in the garage your first time, but as in good period. Thats really awesome!!!
Very nicely done!
I'm impressed with the good job, and the color matching to the silver. Its a difficult color to nicely color match even for body shops.
nice, now we are twins :D
damn.... nice... wanna come and paint my car?
awesome good.good luck on the other future plans you have for the car.
It came out great dude.
are you sure you weren't a painter in another life?
^I know how to paint on Watercolors and Oil but this is my first time to diy auto painting. ;)
Thanks guys to all the compliments! If you have questions shoot me a pm.
I really save a lot of cash from diy the auto painting of my jdm's. $900 savings! So now I think I would be able to get my self some treat like vr4 rear bumper and under spoiler + fender flares.
nice
I installed the color matched FG EGR like visor from Cali.. Here's some shot after car wash..

Beautiful, just beautiful.
you should have got rid of that indentation for the license plate before you painted it, i wish i would have.
looks great...nice work
Great job Dude, Really nice and clean car.
Thanks!
What do you guys think is better for my rear, VR4 bumper w/ under spoilers or the Erebuni rear bumper?
Id go with the OEM JDM VR4, unless you plan to put a lip on the front and sideskirts then I would go with the Erebuni.
Car does look nice as is though dude! Great job on the paint! You should hit the radiator core with some black though.
That's what I was thinking a VR4 rear bumper. I don't have any plans of installing a lip since the front is already low. It already have the oem new style vr4 skirts. I think the erebuni would look better w/ other kind of skirts. I noticed that too I should have painted the rad core black. thanks
great build thread man. executed very nicely.
Almost speechless,... Its one of the most ilustrated project ive seen in a while, i also got a 8g, i think its more than decent but your's, your work, and everything that went in on your project, you should have consideration on car of the year, builder of the year at least, if there is one... Anyhow, where could i get that grill you got on, i need a new grill on mines,...
Great job bro! Looks awesome! now just dump that thing 3 inches and add a jdm rear bumper. good luck finding a vr4 rear, even trigg has a hard time finding them.
great job man.Car looks hella nice
Here's a pic w/ the jdm door visors installed..
