I love the car on page 1 but really really wonder why you would go from the sexy stock VR4 bumpers etc to this body kit crap? (money problems?) Just my opinion

I really like this bumper. I like the look it gives it, more aggressive, and I just really really like it and have liked that style for a while.

Why would I want to be like everyone else on the road being stock? A lot of people who have seen it in person think it's the most awesome Legnum they've seen :)

Stock bumpers here are very cheap, and I really don't find them "Sexy". You can get a bumper in good condition for US$30, this cost me about US$200. I just sold one from a VR4 we wrecked for NZ$40 (about US$30 I think from exchange rate) with foglights etc included.

I binned that original bumper cause it was damaged so hence wouldn't be worth anything. Stew about that one before you fall asleep at night ;)

I sold my stock 1992 Galant bumper for NZ$1.50 (in the picture below). I'm not even going to translate that to US dollars cause I think you get the idea. Just goes to show.

JK, shipping will rape me. If shipping wasn't more than the bumper, I would love to have.

Haha yeah in regards to shipping. I wanted the Halo lights off Ebay, but shipping was going to cost twice what the lights were! :(

My car has been accepted into a show n shine happening next weekend. I am honoured as they were only selecting cars up to standard... So I shall get better pics then. Since it's got adjusties in, we were gonna set up then slam it just for the show.

New boot install will be done this weekend.

It's still got the original motor in, still need to make the custom manifolds for the engine we're working on. We had a donor engine from a crashed VR4 because we wanted this to still be drivable whilst working on the motor :) We just did the timing on the project motor.

ahh okay, makes sense now. I was thinking you took the motor out to re-work it and throw it back in. lol, I should've known better.

Hehe I wouldn't have been able to live with so far what's been like three months work without driving my car! We're hoping to get the other engine finished by next year -fingers crossed-. The guy we were going to get to do the manifolds, looks like he may have moved...so we'll see. It's a W.I.P

I can compare cause they're a dime a dozen here and not desirable. We'd probably think the USDM bumpers were quite cool because they are different :)

Totally understandable but your car factory comes with a nice front bumper,nice sides,nice rear lip, killer fog lights, etc etc etc etc our cars here no rear lip, no sides, an ok front bumper etc etc, no VR4 option, no 5spd option nothing... everything is a swap for us.. sorry I'm not trying to change anything its your car and your taste.. you just have something that people here really would love to have since Mitsu US sucks

Well since the bumpers are quite common, if anyone is willing to pay the horrendous shipping, I don't mind picking one up from the local pick a part.

I still got the factory side skirts also sitting in the garage...can't sell them here, no one wants them. So yeah.

Why? I've got the bumper I wanted now, so it would be superfluous to my needs.

Besides the fact I was quoted $350US for a set of headlights just to ship...so I'd shudder to think what it would cost to send a bumper.

You mean the prefacelift when you say old? It's what I just sold :) Can get them from pick a part for like $30 or something NZ. Facelift are harder to find. There were three Legnum VR4s at ONE of our pick a part the other day, we got some manual bits off one of them.

But you have to visit the 'States at least once in your lifetime. I may be biased being a fellow New Yorker, but visit Manhattan, and veture out by Long Island...there isn't any other place like it in the world, mainly Manhattan.

My plan is to buy a house. IMO OE's have never appealed to me.

I don't even have a passport, never been outta NZ (though travelled the entire of NZ). One day planning to visit some mates in Aus, maybe one day when I've got my house and living comfortably, but that's a big maybe.

That can't be right, I have sent them into the states plenty of times and it has cost a max of $100NZD. Someone must be ripping people off for shipping big time lol

Also, just to note, to send a bumper, side skirts, headlights and a couple of other bits in one go cost me about a grand last time.

iv noticed some ebay selleres have ridiculous international costs so just find a middle man in us like i have and its cheap as chips
