that type r lip is bad ass
i was gonna go for the mugen lip but i think im goin with the spoon lip now
pics for proof
The lip is made of polyurethane, not ABS, so it's pretty dang flexible. I might even be able to cut it with a multi-tool knife

I wasnt even aware Spoon made a 'teg lip. Im interested in seeing how this turns out.
Im thinking about a Mazda 6 front lip and Ive seen a 2 piece front lip on the 01-06 Camry that might look good, kinda a S-VR4 look to it minus the holes.
MK3 VW front lip, they come in 2 pieces, find an extra piece to extend the middle and VIOLA!
I made this lip for my 240sx, but its down and the galant needed a lip and I saw opportunity, it fit so it stays with the galant. It was sticker bombed before I put it on...
Before... you can see the ziptie stitching..

After bombing... (ignore the ill fitting body panels, they were removed constantly..)

On the Galant..

** Its important to note that the sides will fit perfectly, mine do not because I did not drill the holes yet in this picture for the end zipties to make it even.. It does sit evenly, more pictures soon.**
hmmm interesting Kouki

EDIT: with the polyurethane, a hairdryer will work just fine to mold it. Maybe on the ends you could use a heat gun, but I still managed it with a hairdryer. Just try not to run it too long without giving it time to cool off. And don't use your wife's top-of-the-line hairdryer either. Don't wanna destroy it and then lose your marriage because of a car lip :P
That's not a real Spoon lip.....it'd be a lot more if was one....and it'd look like this:

i like the fake spoon style one better. the real jdm spoon looks more similar to the mugen lip.
anyone ever considered this lip/skirt set or anything mentioned here for that matter: http://www.j-rally.net/~marjo/comfort/leg1/index2.html ? or just not worth the money to import maybe:

Well, if you have the resources to get it, someone to import or the money to order it that's a great choicem. The point to this thread was to find inexpensive and easily attainable alternatives since the 8G does get a lot of support.
Thanks for the input.
Where's G-Spot with his CD5 Accord lip? That thing looks awesome!
99-01 integra lip mugen style

na i had to cut just alittle off each end and heat the shit out of it so it molded better to the bumper
any of you guys put a lip on old stlye 8g vr4 front bumpers?
i think the Mugen Civic 99-00 front lip one looks best out of all of em
Haven't been here for a while now but i recently just put a lip on my 03. Lip is actually for an 98-01 Integra spoon style. Kinda like a mugen and a type r lip together almost. Made of polyurethane and it fits pretty well with only minor modifications to it. A little trimming here and there and it fit pretty well and no heating because it's already flexible so it just bends around your bumper.
You should post some pics up phantom
Ive been looking at the 1st gen mazda 6 and its sport model has some nice lips, need to get a hold of one and see how it lines up to the bumper.
Here's some pictures. Held on with just screws and no heat gun. Just some trimmings on the inner lip, nothing done to the ends of the lip.

You got the same wheels as i do!
DAMN!! and I thought mine fit well! Your's is perfect!! and you got to keep the end caps.. Damn am i jealous of the 02-03 lol
oh btw it looks awesome :) though I'm a little biased.
Has anyone put the Lancer Gsr X B Style lip on a galant yet?
I was thinking add a lip kit cause of those dam speed bumps we have here

I was thinking of just using a universal splitter kit with the universal wrap as a extension to lower it a little. It's black so it won't be noticeable I don't think. Thought bout the lips too and I'm glad I found this thread.
