I just showed that D to my wife, and she said,"Ohh, that's so nice!" So I take it I have permission to mod her D in a similar way lol!

Wow they put alot of work into that Diamante, thats one from the early 90's right?
Yup. 96 or earlier.

On jack stands :( Atleast found my flywheel problem.
So, to pass inspection, the Diamante needs:
1: Engine Mount (top mount by the belts, looks like cake)
2: Fix leaking PS pump
3: Fix leaking rack & pinion
4: Fix cracked bumper/foglights
5: Replace rear brake pads (cake)
6: Replace rear shocks
7: Remove tint from windshield (has a strip along the upper part of windshield)
8: Fix leaking valve cover gaskets/spark plug seals
To get my wife to drive it, it needs:
1: The A/C recharged/fixed.
2: The tune-up performed to fix the rough idle.
3: The ABS/Traction Control light to go out.
So it needs work, but nothing too major.
I would take it somewhere else because it seems like they are busting your chops about some stuff.Like the bumper cover shouldnt matter and the winsheild tint strips are usually built in to the winshield. But 2,3,5 and 6 deffinantly would need to be fixed to pass.I would check the lines where it connects to the rack and pinion and make sure they arent loose or leaking.
I hear ya. The windshield tint I can just scrape off I don't need it, and yeah the bumper cover he being anal about. I'm gonna get some time this weekend to look over everything and see what i can't do about that rack and PS pump, the brakes might take 30 minutes max, and I honestly might just find a JY bumper and go with that since I know my wife wants it looking its best anyway. I think i can do the valve covers, but that intake is intimidating with all those sensors, my sister's 03 Grand Caravan didn't have nowhere near that many sensors and connectors on the plenum, doing her tune up was cake and that's considering it's a minivan with a little engine bay.
Inspection for what?^^^
She was at the SPA. She had a facial. Taking all my money like that. LOL

^^^What modifications are required for the vortex generator to fit? Also any certain seller/vendor better to buy from than others? Lastly did the antenna come with it?
Thanks
i dont see why you would want an antenna... you know its built in right? lol
MD State Safety inspection, must be done within 30 days of buying a new car. Cars from dealerships must have this done before it can get sold. We only have to do it once, whereas other states have safety inspection once a year, like VA.

I have a OEM vortex gen from the evo 8. You need to add some fiber glass to the each ends and a little to the rear to make it fit right, the evo body is smaller. Dont come with antenna. You need a antenna base from the evo.
It looks more original. I had to get a evo 8 base antenna and drill 2 small holes on to of the G to install the antenna base. I replaced the stock antenna wire with a extended one.
The antenna is a 100% working antenna like the evos.
$60 for the initial inspection, if you pass, great. If not, get it fixed and then $45 reinspect. He's gonna look the other way on that minor shit if I give him some of the work. I'm pondering if I'm gonna do that or not, it may be cheaper for me to just do the brakes and motor mount and let him do the PS shit and shocks, I don't have to worry about the fogs and bumper and tints. The bumper so far is gonna cost like 400 on its own. So we'll see.
