The return is very small man. The stock 2g Garrett turbo has 17mm return line which is almost 12an. So you might be blowing these turbos just because of this
stock 2g drains are way smaller then this they are like 1/2" dia at most i have on in my garage.
you proly have the 14b-16g return. The 2g t25 return line is SS and its 17mm. These turbos, i think, use Garrett cartridges so they need larger return line
i would feed from the head or put a restrictor in the feed line if you stay from the OFH. if you get it back and hook it back up without changing anything and blow it again then its something about your setup. turbos shouldnt blow that soon. Journal bearing turbos are picky about oil pressure.
i got the word from pte yesterday another 280 dollars for a rebuild, they claim contamination in my oil
Sweet video man,you got the turbo issue figured out?
nah its sitting in a box at work lol we took these before it blew up!
Oh damn that sucks,i wonder what is wrong with it.Do you think it is an oil feed issue?
nah precision said contamination, thinking back i did some sand blasting on my valve cover wondering if it all didn't come out. There is a little valve in the oil filter housing that allows for it to bypass the filter when i took mine apart it was stuck open.... I took it to work and put it through the parts washer, all I just have not had the funds to get the turbo rebuilt. Going to do rod bearings to be safe and have the turbo rebuilt by boost lab in Florida when i get the extra cash.
Yeah that is possible, you dont see any signs of metal flakes in the oil though do you?
Nothing really just alot of Turbo bearing parts!
