Ordered a new 2G GSX LH axle, the current one is causing vibration.
Well, had some misfire lately and the last couple of weeks it was getting worse. I notice some leakage at the intake manifold/head area. So I decide to change the gasket, as I was pulling the manifold off I heard some thing fell. To my surprise it was a piece of the manifold. Don't know how, other than possible fatigue or vibration. All other runners at the flange have a semi circle crack. There goes the era of my snapping throttle response.

Pick up a 1G intake manifold and 3KGT TB. Back to a more stock look.

One of my coilpacks took a crap the day I remove the Cyclone intake manifold. Throw in a set I had laying around in the garage.
Ouch that sucks, is there a noticeable difference without the cyclone?
I have that manifold in pieces somewhere. If i find it you can have the bottom portion of it.
And that usually happens from not having the bracket from IM to block

Remove some more items in the rear.

Remove majority of the airbag/SRS system
Might as well pull those rear seatbelts as well. the reels probably weigh a couple of lbs each. My favorite part of two stage intake manifolds is the engine note change when the butterflies open.
What ever happened to your ITB setup plans?
I could but it will take more time to put them back in if I want to drive the kids around town. LOL
The ITB, they are more or less still on the table. Converting to an Evo/Lancer ECU and reflash with a SD ROM is an option, as well as using a MAFT PRO.
They[ITB] will definitely max out my current setup but the driveabitily will definitely decrease. The price for Borla/TWM air box went up and having one ship from oversea [UK] is not even worth it. There is a guy in PR running a 4G64 SOHC in a Mirage making 232whp and since then, I'm slowing collecting parts for a SOHC project.
Make me a brace like this. I needs it

The one I made is a prototype and if I make another one, it's going to be lighter but still durable. DTP says he might want one. I post my brace on DSMTuners and GreenGoblin approves of it, and that says a lot coming from a guy who's car is badass time attack machine.
But for which car? I don't think its going clear with an exhaust that goes under the rear crossmember.
Depending on the final product I would like one as well ;]
Same lol
I would love one, lemme know if you need my car for R&D

A little update:
If anyone remember awhile back in a post I mention about creating a hybrid MAF using the #011 honeycomb with the #482 airhorn? Well anyway, I try using the #482 airhorn on the #501 MAF and the ECU/engine HATES it. The car runs as it had a misfire and running lumpy. So I switch back to the original airhorn for the #501. The #482 airhorn/MAS isn't meant to run on a NA I4 without sometype of compensation. The #011 and #501 MAS can run on a 7G with a little readjustment of the TPS and BISS screw.
So what I gather up is this: The #011 MAS flows a tad more than the #501 while the #482 and #399 outflows the #011. I have decel stalling issues with the #011 but thats when I was running the 6G74 TB and Cyclone Manifold, I still have the #011 mesh so I will try that over the weekend. The #501 and #011 MAS are identical on the outside and the other noticeable difference is that the #501 has a metal honeycomb mesh while the #011 has a plastic square mesh.
I love how you try different parts combos to make what you need and document what you learn as you go. Shit's dope Jamie, keep up the good work, even if you never hear too many praises about it.
So a few guys ask about a price for the rear chassis brace, which at first I was against the idea of having "some" made. So far there are like five guys interested, keyword interested, so I am going to get quote from the metal shop on supplies and etc.
Awesome!
Yeah... let us know.

Clean up inside the throttle and add a closed throttle switch(idle) since the TPS didn't have a pin for one. This should be fine till I get a reflash ecu and cable.

Tack and ready for welding last week.

Trim and clean up.
what TB is this? size?
Update: Nothing much really. Need to replace exhaust manifold gasket and studs, RH CV axle, and rear brake hoses. Just drives good, need to get it tune/dyno and after that, don't know where to go from here.
Let's cruise then!!!

Let me know. I need to get out sometimes.
I will. I have been scoping for a reflash ecu for months at the local yards but when I add the dollar to hp, a safc or similar will be okay. The car really starting to show it age so I won't spend a lot on looks.

Planning to reshape the dividers and add a 2-1 merge collector on it.
Pick up a VRX steering wheel, just needs the airbag unit.

Also pick up a 03 ECM and made a conversion harness.

It's really awesome how you research, mix and match all those different parts. Headers look great.
