I guess that is a possibility now that I think about it but why would compression drop in the #1 by 15 psi compared to last time?

dino 30 weight and 11s 12s. 10s for a little bit lol
its the rings it has to be. on a fully warmed built motor no way compresion should go from 135 to 155 with just adding oil. #1 is bad 120 psi without oil
Shoot man heck.. where have I been....
I will be introducing 1 of 2 game changers soon.....
Lets see. The car was entered in a car show about 2 weeks ago. The g got a lot of looks, specifically from DSM guys. Had people tell me its a Diamante, and swore by it lol. People told me it was a legit VR-4 as well. I'm just distanced myself from them after I told them that I was the owner and they were way off. After the car show, a couple muscle cars wanted to toy with me. Too much fun! Kept up with 2 out of the 3. I guess during the third run when I went WOT around a corner, my water pipe separated from the water bolt itself. Bolt vibrated out I guess, and temps got up to 230 before I noticed anything wrong. Good thing it was 10 degrees out that day.
All in all fun time but really disappointed in the show itself. But I guess placing 5th put a fire under my butt and things finally worked to order somethings that I have been thinking about for a long time.
Other then that, shes not going anywhere.
Number #1 game changer. Wider tires.

Oh shi!
But you're AWD, I'm guessing they're for handling since traction isn't a big issue.
Um 50/50. I finally cleared the waste gates throat during a 60 degree day and spun from 2nd to 3rd gear. But I like meaty tires as well so

wont that tire rub in the inner arm thingy in the rear? or have you modified that?
I will be modifying that. Needed a tire and a rim for clearance measurements. Just waiting on the rim now.

Thats power!
I like how you bought the tire first fitting it on comes later :P Props to you
just a little. I need to figure out the real issue on why I can't get past a certain boost level though. so turbo is getting sent in to PTE to test it. Hopefully its bad, if not, then I have to do another compression test.... :(
How else am I going to see if it fits? I mean I bought the rim 6 weeks ago still waiting....
Long story short, tried to order a knock off rim for testing fitting purposes, because lets be honest, fitting wheels and tires are very limited on what we can run and want to run. I choose to run what I want to run, I'm not afraid of making anything fit anymore. So I got tired of waiting for a knock off rim, which they wouldn't get in till may anyways. So I said screw it, canceled the order with them, and bought some work wheels from vividracing. Order them tuesday, and they came this morning, which I was very surprised to say the least.

Had to test fit them right away am I right?

Finally I am able to clear the Brembos without a fricken 10mm spacer! Doesn't stick out to bad in the front.

As far as the rear thats a different story.

Now the big thing I was worrying about was this stupid knuckle issue. That was really the only thing keeping me from being 100% confident inmy purchase, but I said I'll to whatever it is to make these fit. I have an extra knuckle and wheel bearing set for the rear, so I grab that and slid it onto the wheel before I test fitted it on to the galant. i had about a 5 mm gap with out the spacer or a brake rotor. That got me thinking, because it was a way better outcome then what it could have been. So I took my 10mm spacer up front, and put it on the rear for a test fit, and look at that. I have the same amount of space with 235/40r18 +30 MB Battles from tire to knuckle as I do with the new set up, 295/35/R18 +15mm

As far as the rear is concerned, don't worry something is coming this way in a few weeks. As far as everything else on the galant, its getting worked out. Any questions?
Damn!
How does the front clear through the steering travel? That is what has held me up with a 295 front, that and hoosiers run wider.
What 6G72gearhead said^^ plus, GOOD GOD! Those look great. Aside from the major mexipoke in the rear of course lol. I want to see a video of this thing rolling I bet it looks mean
you need some wide fender flares there bud
Well I think a torch and BFH should take care of the issues for the outside scrub radius issues. As far as the inside scrub, we shall see what must happen, I have a feeling that I will end up cutting some of the frame away, and box it in to create more clearance. So with my MB battles and no spacer (before brembos) I only rubs during full lock, and moving kinda fast. I never scrubbed after the spacer on the inside. So with the ultimates basically added the spacer into the new offset I have 27mm less clearance without the spacer, or 17mm less with the spacer on the front. The problem comes on the outside scrub which is now 50+mm, so we shall see what is the easiest way to have no issues for rubbing. I think a torch and a BFH should do the trick, but who knows, might have to just tub out the front, which if I did that, would open up some more tire sizes I guess. We shall see how crazy I feel like getting. Also this will take some time, its not going to be a month and then hey look its good lol. This is my summer project I guess.
I have 2 videos out there, I'm surprised you didn't see them
Got that covered for the rear, I just have to decide on what to do for the front. What do you guys think would look better? Should I just cut the front fenders pull them out, and just weld the rest with metal? Or what would be the cleanest style you guys would think is appropriate? As far as the rear I really didn't have a choice on what was ordered, but I think most of you guys will be pleased with the rear. Whenever is makes the journey.
The last thing this car needs is SVR4 skirts, as I have the rears already. I think the svr4 skirts would complete the sides for some reason.
