I don't know about moose but I run with color changing underglow (RGB so they cycle between every color in the rainbow) on the front and sides and so far (a year and a half) haven't had any issues, but I also live in a smaller town. Might be different if it was solid red, but I bet it wouldn't draw that much attention. On the other hand, if it was flashing red, blue, or white I'm sure he would be seeing those colors in the rearview.
