Anyhow, I will get an EVO 8 timing cover on tuesday and it will make it much easier, as for now, im taking a day off from the car tomorrow, I will do my brakes on monday, timing cover on tuesday and wednesday the car will be at the body shop.....thats of course is if all goes as planned..... and we all know it never does...... https://www.thegalantcenter.org/styl...lt/biggrin.gif
soo a good amount of time has gone by and I went to the hose shop today and I think my fuel leak is figured out, I will know for sure tomorrow. For now, this is the car as it sits .....

She looks real nice. I like the way that FMIC looks.
I went to the hose shop and they pressure tested my fuel line and the custom fitting to 200psi with air, while submerged in a tank of water, not one single bubble came out. So the line and fitting are good. The only thing it can be at this point is the male fitting on the end of the hardline or the actual flare of the hardline itself. The guy at the hose shop cave me a brass ring seam that is used to repair bad hardline flares, I put that in and tighten everything down. I also replaced the hoses from the motor to the heater core because they were leaking. For today im done, I wanted to start it, but my laptop is totally dead so I cant reprogram the standalone. I will try again tomorrow. Another weird thing is that my turn signals dont work anymore, they worked fine before the car broke down and now, nothing. I guess its part of owning a mitsu, when something can go wrong, it will, and so will 5 other things......
lookin good brian! im so green in envy dude!

Werd look like we need to step our game up.
Brian, man, you should have come to SEMA. You could have rolled it into the show. Hell, there was a Ferrari at the show with no engine that they rolled in and out. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/styl...ault/laugh.gif
for real Brian...did you have a trailer?? you would have at least beat that STI that got best JDM....shit you have a a fucking EVO engine in ya car...now that's JDM INSIDE!!!
But his motor is a US motor https://www.thegalantcenter.org/styl...ult/tongue.gif
If my Galant had an older brother, it would have to be Stewis galant :lauging:

Its a JDM 2002 EVO VII GSR engine. off the boat, its JDM. At this point I wish I went EVO8 instead, because i had to wait 6 weeks for a JDM water pump since the wonderful mitsu engineers decided to change it from EVO7 to EVO8.
Bravo
A true inspiration and yet your car looks like a daily driver.
Bravo
Really!
In the area of performance, I think you might hold the Torch.
so brian in 4 years when im making good money if i pay you enough wanna do an Evo swap for me? https://www.thegalantcenter.org/styl...ault/laugh.gif
