New around here!
Hey! I found this great place while searching for Galant parts...just had to
take a look. After I looked around a while, I was quite interested in registering.
Anyway, a few weeks ago I picked up a 2003 GTZ with 48,500 miles after saving money for a while (I've wanted a galant since about 1999) Interior is new looking, and the original clear plastic wrapping hadn't even been removed from some parts of it! Still smells new! (which made me happy!)
It is black as you can see in the pictures and grey/carbon sim interior.
I didn't have my digi cam with me, so i used my cell phone.

Since I bought it, I tinted the headlights with a soft smoke , with silverstar bulbs inside.
I did the same to the tail lights and fog lamps(sans silverstars lol), but didn't get a picture today. Also smoked
the mitsubishi center grille logo to dark chrome.
I shot the wheels gunmetal with clear, and took off all the dealer logos they
put on the car with some fishing line and an eraser. I got carried away
and pulled off the GTZ and GALANT logos on the back as well. :P
The front 2 windows are tinted 20% back 6% and rear 6%
Today I installed slotted/drilled rotors and new brake pads, as well as painted the calipers red with a small brush, making sure to clean everything
around the area while I was doing it, but that isn't included in the pics.
From what I've seen that is a pretty common thing to do around here.
also, not really performance so much as maint. but also has a k&n cleanable drop in filter.
I really enjoy the Galant's almost timeless lines...it still looks great up
against new vehicles...and looks great regardless.
This is my 3rd Mitsu now, and I'm extremely excited to browse around
these forums and find more people like me who enjoy these cars, or even
some people nearby who want to do a car meet sometime!
:)

Very nice and clean galant + Welcome to TGC! Hope we can steer you in the right direction when looking for parts.

Thank you Keith, I appreciate the welcome and compliment! I just found the service manual pages up here also...that might come in handy soon, as I am going to swap
plugs and if need-be wires. I think it involves removing the intake plenum from what I can tell, but the details should be covered in the manual.

Thanks Oakrdrs :) Its pretty weird driving it around. When I had my evo, all the dsm

Welcome and nice GTZ. You got hella lucky. My 03 GTZ just broke 100000 miles about 2 days ago. Wish she had as few miles as yours. lol
