i was quoted $300 to have my coilovers done... thats high though. I think some shops will do it for $150-200. Or you could do it yourself for free https://www.thegalantcenter.org/styl...ault/smile.gif
Thats what im ganna do

all depends on the place. Most of the standard tire companies wont touch my coilovers, some will deal with springs though. Make sure you shop around though. Ive ran into places wanted $500, $300, etc etc. But i think im going to do it myself. I wouldnt pay over $200 if you can. Shop around and im sure you will find a decent price.
by the way, just to be clear, thats the price of installation alone. You still have to factor in the price of springs/coilovers, and then new shocks if you were going to do that. So it very well could run you $1k total.
ha!!!! i knew it was to good to be truth but i guess i didn't ask the right question.......so how much, total, would it cost to have something done like that silver G?Quote:

yeah that pretty much sums it up. Im paying $260. Bought some ground control coilovers for $260, and im installing it myself. Not upgrading the shocks yet, but im sure I will end up doing that. But you can save yourself so much by doing the install yourself. I havnt done it yet, but I have a bunch of documents and pictures on how to do so. From what I have been told, its alot easier than it looks/sounds.
im going to need shocks and struts what is a good product?
The actual coilover set it about 200-300 bucks depending on where you buy it. Installation is another story. I did my own setup but from what i hear it looks like you may spend about 600+ depending on where you get the coils and if you get them installed. I also suggest you upgrade your suspension further (shocks and struts) to avoid unwanted bouncy ride. If your gonna get coilovers i would suggest ground control or Tein.
One shop i went to by me wanted 360 just to put on springs. They tried to tell me it was a low price to.
shop around... cheapest i was estimemated was $175. $240 with alignment after from a different shop.
$176.40 for Progress springs through the link in BGR's sig(gives TGC a 5% discount). Then it'll run you $325 plus for some KYB AGX struts to make your ride not bounce around everywhere if your stock struts were to go.
Great deal on the springs btw(got mine in my bedroom and not on the car though :? )

Thats wher you can get some KYB AGX for $325 shipped.
Man do the install yourself. With all the needed tools you will be fine. The prices shop's charge is outrageus for a drop.
Parts alone to get a good set I will give you an example.
Ground Control: $375.00
KYB AGX shocks: $325.00 through Club 3G. Anwhere else it will cost well into $400.00
Camber kit if needed: $100.00 or less.
Now factor in install and alighnment well you get the picture. Well over a thousand.
If you want to look like the silver G in the picture.... add in some 19"wheels too..

Yup I forgot about that. So Z add in about another $1,500.00 and that would be if you had a hook up.
i'll just stick with my 4x4 for now
