Mid 15s probably
High 14's. I have similar mods and it keeps up with a slightly modded gst neck and neck.
stock 2g gst 1/4 mile is 14.9
i'd say anwwhere from 14.8 to 16.0 is about right.
mid 15s is my guess
with your mods (and you don't use to the super stick track I go to), you should manage to get mid to low 15's
15.6
15.1 @ 91mph
This is starting to remind me of the game show on speed channel
Honestly it depends on driver. Have you ever been to the track before? If so what was it you took down the track? What did you run? Have you ever taken the G down a sticky track? what type of tires are you going to run? These are all questions that matter before i could truly make a guess. First run is generally the slowest.
If the cars automatic and with those mods, the driver doesnt have as much to do with it versus if the car was manual. With an auto with that power level, you shallow stage, you hold the brake, hold the gas pedal and release the brake when the 3rd yellow light falls and let the car do the rest.
I pretty much suck.....
So yeah, with that being said, best advice I can give you is this, if your using normal street tires which you likely are, DONT DO A BURNOUT. All it does is overheat the tires and get them nice and greasy for the launch, it will be like driving on ice coming off the line. I think if you get a good launch like 2.2 or less 60ft, and you hit all your shifts well, you should be high 14's low 15's.
im shooting for high 14s hopefully!!
You should be around 14.6-15.0 @ 93-95mph. I did 15.2 @ 92 just with the 5 speed and full interior, even car seats!!
as of right now i blew my axle on the first run!!! wtf ! so im in the process of installing a new one and see if i can get at least one run in
At least the diff didn't go "kaboom!"
well im not really sure right now i changed the driverside axle and when im driving it kinda bogs out/stumbles i watch my rpms and they didnt change than i realize it keeps sliping out of gear and making this crazy noise when i turn i was thinking the clutch was shot! but i just got it.im not sure what really going so i ask for help.cuz i really dont want to take this apart again!!
you just got the clutch? how many miles have you put on it?
I think Keith and jigz had that problem. iirc it was the diff :-/
I'll let them chime in since mine gave no warning, it just shattered.
Damn i am scared to launch my G at 3000g now =(
and now I'll be looking for aftermarket race spec half shafts............
I hope you'll be able to find them as well
the diff is done in the tranny. dont use it anymore, if you blow the diff out of the tranny the whole tranny will be junk.
LSD TIME!!! mn
Differential for sure. Blew on my g awhile back and had to swap tranny's. It makes a clicking sound/feel when turning hard in one direction or the other.
Sorry to hear, but I think you've got a month left until it goes. Look into an lsd as soon as possible.
i believe goosey is selling his old quaife lsd with the bearing/ gears already pressed in. otherwise it would be around 1k for just the diff (new) and you would have to get the bearings from the dealer and remove your gears and unless you have the right tools you have to take it to a shop to be pressed on. there is a tutorial on c3g as to how to replace it. it is kind of a pain in the ass
seems like the diff is done as said before, just saying but on the very first run y didnt u take it easy and get a feel for it? the track is so different than the street it terms of grip and takes getting used to and if u dumped the clutch too fast the diff exploded that easy. your a v6 right? good luck finding another tranny.
When you say you launched at 3k, did you just hold it at 3k and just side step the clutch and dump it? You have to understand that the stock diff is a POS and it went from not moving at all full power in an instant, thats what breaks shit. The idea is to launch at around 4500 rpm and slip the clutch a little bit until the car barely starts to move, then let it go completely.
Advice. Dont track the car without a tune. I bet you have no tune on the computer.
and lsd is order thanks to the wifey!
Where you guys find lsd's at?
