Yeah, it fits fine. I know of one case where an Eclipse GTS guy (different intake plenum) had to put washers under the strut bar in order for it to clear. At worse, you'll have to do the same.
TY Warm
Don't get a rear one man. You don't need it. I think warm misunderstood your post as a front strut tower bar so im not sure if it would work anyways.
well i meant front, i just posted the wrong one
this is what i meant to post a link to:
http://www.ptuning.com/html/Item-Desc.cfm?PartNo=PTCSB1003&MakeCode=mitsub&ModelCod e=eclips&ModelYear=2000%2D2003%204%20Cyl%2E&ModelD esc=Eclipse
warm is wrong. the bar will not fit. there are some sensors on the v6 intake plenum that will interfere with the bar. using washers for a strut bar is ghetto
They fit on V6

That's Hijackers 3G.
so the consensus is yes then?
Wait on it, I know somebody has confirmed this for sure before. Qnz may be right.
the megan strut bar fits and it goes straight across i don't see why this one wouldn't fit..
i have the RRE brace and it is way smaller than the DC... i was under the impression that the DC bar does not fit the USDM V6 8G even if it does fit the V6 eclipse. somebody test fit it to make sure.
Here is an example:
GTS Intake plenum. Notice the larger section in the rear towards the STB.

6G72 intake plenum. Notice it does NOT have the larger section in the rear.

Not to mention the DC Sports STB wouldn't be availible for the Eclipse for so long if it didn't fit the 6G72. In fact if anything it would have the same problem with the 4cyl intake also, but it does not.
That link takes you to the one they specify for the 4cyl (not that there is any difference).
But you'd better just make sure to order this one:

Dave, the first photo you posted is of a Diamante intake manifold. The one RAZ posted is a GTS manifold. DC Sports specifically lists the STB as for the GS/RS only, so it may have fitment issues. Personally, I think it'll work.
Im 100% sure it will fit dude, a bunch a guys at Club3G have them both models. Just get it dude. Worst case you pack it up and re sell it.
Do you have a picture under the hood dude??
That first link you posted is for a rear DC sportsbar dude

Also, they are not shapped like that, they go straight across.
From that picture, the issue I see is the negative battery terminal, more so than the plenum. People have reported problems with the DC Sports STB and the stock battery.
all you did was remove the air box and added an intake pipe your plenum is the silver thing that it connects to with the tubes above the valve cover...if you installed the intake whay didnt you remove the rest of the stock intake though?
Gladiator, who has a v6, has tried to fit my DC sports strutbar on his car and I remember only being able to put 1 side in. There is a sensor on top of the intake plenum that is keeping the bar from being able to fit properly. I didnt try to see if using washers might make the bar fit, but it would have to be something like 3 washers. 1 washer would not have cut it
I know mine is a 4cyl but my battery is in the same spot and when I had mine it did not touch it, far from it. The only thing I did not like was the fact that it sat right above my oil dip stick and made it impossible to check my oil without removing it. I would get the stock 3G bar and is the best unless you want to spend 300 like I did for a Carbin. I think the rest or swiveled are a waste as far as effectiveness.
