Huh? Kungfusion.

I think I have some of it figured out.
"Mitsubishi Galants are POS,
I have a fucking Galant, and I don't like it because I went to install a cut out (wtf?) and didn't have space to install it so I am very angry with my car."
Something like that.

Oye Juansito, pana, que rayos es un "Cut Out"? Aqui nadie te entiende, y yo que soy de Bayamon, tampoco te entiendo! Aclara y a lo mejor te podemos ayudar.

Does nobody here know what a cutout is?
http://www.pfyc.com/pc/GN5002/G5/Qui...nd+models.html
There is a manual one that you get under the car and unbolt a plate or there are the electric ones in which you hit a switch.
It basically just re routes exhaust often time to bypass catalytic converters or mufflers.
I have seen them most commonly used on Forced induction vehicles right on the downpipe.
To the OP, this seems like an absolutely useless mod for your G unless you have some crazy shit going on under the hood or you just want a ticket.
Why would you go threw the trouble of putting on a cutout for a 8g???
hes TT yo... lol honestly if you want performance with an exhaust get something worth your time like a high flow 2.25 or 2.5 and keep your back pressure good so you can clear for next combustion cycle.
Besides a cut out on a NA car will lead to a lot of air being pulled out of the combustion chamber causing more air in the air to fuel ratio. Chances are you will run lean when you run the cut out and end up damaging your engine.
Heads+High Flow Cat+ Mandrel Piping+ High Flow Muffler is about all you can do to increase power NA when it comes to exhaust system.
Build a full header back system get port and polish on exhaust and intake increase throttle body size and fuel injectors and you will see a bit of gain.
you lose power with a cut-out on a bone stock 8G anyway. Just get a full 2.5" exhaust. Even that is over kill on a stock 4G64.
Man you are very slow for things a CutOut is a sistem for get the compresion fastor on the exthaust! |ook peop|e this is a Cutout!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lIcO...eature=related
This is a CutOut! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lIcO...eature=related
Compression on the exhaust, huh? You mean backpressure? Too bad you lose it all and lose power as well. How about not wasting your time with this idea. This would make sense if you had a '68 Mustang with a built 428, or something similar, but you instead are trying to do this on a Galant. Seriously, unless you are turbo and making 500+ whp, this idea is just idiotic.
That is exactly what I mentioned on the first page.
How does opening a hole pre-muffler help build any back pressure?
As said earlier, if you are not turbocharged, or if you do not have a big block; don't put these in your car.
You are doing more damage than good. No matter how many times you look at it, your Galant is made to pick up groceries and haul around children. It is not meant to be a race car.
LOL
I have a cutout too, I unbolt my mid pipe and viola my car gets louder, emitts toxic fumes closer to passenger compartment, and gains 5hp..yay!
this is a stupid idea
i think he's going to nascar or something..
U rea||y suck because here in puerto rico me make cars faster than your!
LOL THIS IS NOW EPIC!!! Dude ur funny.
Im lost in translation.
:TGC: :TGC: :TGC: :TGC: :TGC: :TGC: :TGC: :TGC: :TGC: :TGC:
just get a full exhaust system
before more people get hurt....:bluegrab:...me thinks you need a Civic
a cutout is only necessary on built big turbo cars. my buddies old school jetta has a cutout and had a dyno proven 30 hp gain but on a stock galant it will be a 30 hp loss. if ur not turbo back pressure is ur friend
We would we find a high flow cat for our cars since we have a 45 degree bend in them??
i dont think this kid is going to get it...
if you are reffereing to me asking about the high-flow cat, i am a different guy. you are looking for the guy from puerto rico
