If any one has access to a 3000gt VR4. Could you tell me the mounting bolt spacing from the center of each bolt
its the same as 8g/evo. i forget what is the exact measurement.
Hmmm thought VIII had two pots these are the fours and they look as if they bolt directly to the spindle, hub ?whichever the mounting bracket mounts to see -- http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...wnloadfile.jpg
nope its not a bolt on deal.
here's the adapter bracket

Good shit thanks for the link
And this will work with EBC 2g rotors??
Do they work with 6g vr4 rotors?
those are a fixed calliper, 2 pistons on each side. not a sliding like our single piston on the AWD dual pistons
i have 4 piston 3000gt vr-4 brakes on my car. i know what it takes to put them on. and what you need. it will not be cheap. it all depends on the rotors and the deal on the calipers. i bought stoptech drilled/slotted rotors
i spent:
$200 both calipers
$120 mounting bracket
$180 Rotors
$30 on misc items/clips/paint

you need first gen 91-93 3000gt vr4 calipers and second gen 94+ 3000gt vr4 rotors. this is the correct combo to work with the L bracket

I must say that purple is awfully sexxy
So bigger rotors = bigger brackets?
I mean like some 12 inchers or so
follow this carefully lol
The calipers must be 91-93 calipers (1st gen 3000GT VR-4)
The Rotors to use with the brackets are 94-99 2nd gen 3000GT VR-4. these rotors are 12.5 inches
1st gen rotors are 11.6" or something like that. so you want the bigger rotors. i got mine for a 99 just to be sure they were 12.5".
So you take your 1st gen calipers and mount them to your knukle using the brackets. the brackets only work for the 12.5 rotors. the bracket comes with the washer needed to space the caliper right. bolt everything on and your good to go.
i also forgot the brake lines.
i paid $70 for a custom SS brake lines for the calipers to work.
1st gen rotors on top of the 2nd gen

Aye kolio are those 2Gs stock??
By they're not OEM what brand?
So the VR4 rotors are only 12.6 inches? Interesting as stock are 14 inch and the awd are 15 inch.
That's incorrect
Maybe he measured the rotors with the wrong side of the ruler :-)
Wow not even a disk swap kolio
I was thinking of doing my 5lug and rear disc before it even hits the road again
While I do this turbo build .
I just swapped the wastegate actuator on my T25 more small fabricating to be done
Maybe I read the part spec in ASA. It stating 15 may just mean it needs at least a 15 inch wheel to clear the assembly.
7G stock KS only 14
Greg kolio yours and mko 7Gs are my style I just prefer our separated tails to moo
Stock 7g/2g fwd brakes require 14 inch wheels. That's what the part spec must mean.
here is a link to the rotors

I need you to upgrade so I can save up for you rotors :-)
17 if 16s fit its rellly tight
Yup there's a 2pot tutorial on here
Are there any 4 pot options that allow me to stay with the OEM alloys that Galanttuner10 has? I suppose Wilwood or StopTech could fab up a custom set up for me, but id like to stay all mitsu if possible
nope, youll at least need evo8 wheels
