16 yr old with 500whp evo

This is a little project we have been working on for some time. Our customer bought this car used and brought it to us to starigten out any loose ends. Who ever put it together originally had a few loose ends that needed to be sorted out. Biggest problem was defective valve springs which allowed the valves to flot into the pistons at 7300 rpms. Also some excess lock tight material and scoring was on the crank end which prevented a flush snug fit of the flywheel and resulted in the clutch being out of balance.

Flash forward a few months and we have a rebuilt motor and freshened up the clutch and this street monster is ready to roll.

Modifications are

Buschur 2.3L Race engine
Buschur Stage III head
Buschur race cams
Buschur ported intake
Buschur fmic and fmic pipes
HKS twin fire
Buschur GT35 R turbo kit
Buschur 3" t/b exhuast
Buschur double pumper
Aquamist HFS 5 alcohol
E Boost 2
AEM tuned by Dyno Flash
TRE built trans
Exedy twin disk racing clutch

Right now the car is making 500 whp on 28 - 29 psi on pump gas with 475 TQ and a nice flat power band. It spools up fully by 4400 rpms so the 2.3L really gets this baby making boost down low.

We ordered some new coils and plug wires as we have a slight ignition miss. We are going to pour in some race gas and shoot for 600 plus whp.

he wont die if he's smart, some kids are smart some kids are stupid, i have a friend whos the son of the Capps rental car company, all he's driven since he got his license are 500+ HP cars, saleens and mustangs adn CTS-V's to be exact

I wonder if his parents know about how truly powerful that kids car is. Then again..his parents are probably supplying all the funds behind all the work on the Evo. I highly doubt a 16 year old kid has a job enough to fund all the work and parts into that Evo.

Other than that..thats a nice Evo!

if the post above sumwhere is correct, his dad is dave buschur...of buschur racing! im sure he knows very well how much car that is. the kid has probably spent his whole life at the shop and and the track

That isn't Dave Buschurs son...his name is Harry Coruso or how ever you spell his last name. From the video it looks like he bought that Evo off a previous owner that did mods on it already which was stated in the video. IF that was Dave Buschur's son..and being as reputable as Dave Buschur and also being his son, I wouldn't have another shop build my son's car.

Dave Buschur has pretty much everything he needs to build and/or make on his property.

He looks pretty compitent to respect the car and not be a retarded street racer. I know a kid that got a C5 Vette for his 16th bday present. That kid at 16(me being 23) could out drive me in the Vette or any other car out there. He has been racing karts since he was 6, autocrossing since he was 12 or 13, and road course racing a mini-lemans style car since he was 14 as well.

yeah that kid was totally acting you could see it written all over his face. I think he maybe has a brother or what not people that are into cars and work on cars so he knows some parts but really quiz him about how they work and what goes where and I doubt he will know what he is talking about fully. As far as his driving I wont judge unless I saw. But I am almost 100% sure that he will screw around with his new car on the streets and endanger many people on the road being stupid. ESPECIALLY when he is with his buddies.

in mississippi you can drive alone when your 15 &1/2. and i doubt his parents know how fast that car is. my first car was a ranger.. i paid for it, and my rents looked at it and said ok, but its kinda loud. they didn't know it had a 5.0!!
