springs and good gas shocks
what are you looking to get out of the car?
If this is a daily, I recommend Tein S-Tech, Megan Racing springs matched with KYB AGX or KYB GR-2 Shocks. If track only, then coilovers. I had coilovers and I sold them 2 weeks after I bought them because the ride was horrible for street use. Some people like the bounce but I didn't and that can't be good for steering and other suspension parts.
I have coilovers and like the stance but the ride is a little rough...I don't mind though. I couldn't find springs set to the right height that I wanted to drop.
go full coilovers! my foot can't go underneath and i DD it.
well thats the shit theres no telling how low the springs will drop it i dont want it 2 low about 3 fingers space will be perfect i dont mind the stock height in the back its the front thats ridiculous a while back i heated mt front springs and the ride height was perfect wats the stock ride height in the front any way maybe that way i can make a determination on wat springs 2 get and also i like the idea of being able 2 adjust the height is there a kit springs and adjustable struts or something
We just lowered my car today on Megan Racing springs and KYB GR-2 struts.
here"s the results

Your galant will have the same results, as the suspension (car) is all the same.
how mamy inches front n back
megan springs i believe are 2" front and like 1.9" rear
I had Megan springs with KYB AGX, it dropped more then Tein S- Tech and rode pretty nice.

Coilovers. No contest.
its my daily driver tho and i mean daily driver im on the road all the time i dont want it 2 low tho u no i got a little fam so ill have the weight in the in the back. now the springs i bought dropped "2" " with maybe 1 finger of space is that really 2" and i got massive vibrations when i stepped on the gas and i think it was rubbing on the control arm and it ripped the inner axle boot did i do something wrong

i was thinkin of just putting the front end down bout an inch leaving the rear the way it is putting spacers and 19's
i was thinkin eibach its 1" in the front and 1.2" in the back with some gas matic struts
Its the opposite, 1.9" in front and 2" in the rear. I just checked the website.
Oh and i just rode 190 miles today back to my house and i now have less then a 2 finger gap in the front :D
Makes me happy, it rides really well now. New struts make a car feel so much better.
coilovers won me out in this dilemma. K-sports ftw! It is a bit of a "rough" ride but its a hell of alot better than my gf's 2g with teins and gr2's and my car handles better than hers.
i think im gonna go with eibach all of u have beautiful the drop is sick but its 2 low eibach is the only spring that drops 1" in the front n 1.2" in the back
i got the stocks now i dont want it 2 low though thats my only problem if i didnt have a family i would drop my g 2 the floor i no i shouldnt but cutting my springs isnt such a bad idea and i no thats a no no here ive already cut one whole coil and it rides fine i dont no wat 2 do
im just gonna use the lowering springs i got already the dropzone and get agx struts
I would recommend the Tein S-Tech's & AGX combo. Thats what Im running now, you can check my build thread in the project section, I have about 2 finger gap in the rear, and 3 finger gap up front. Adjustability off the AGX struts is great bcz I can make the car really stiff or nice and smooth. Drop is perfect IMO bcz Im not too low but its looks good still. And I dont scrape my subframe at all or my bumper unless Im not paying attention. Very practical for a DD. Also the AGX's give the Teins an additional finger gap for some reason vs. the GR-2's as well.
u no wat i was gonna do that ihad that opifeny or how ever u spell it lol im gonna get them from summitracing.com... no disrespect 2 anyone else but ivory ur the 1st one to give me some solid advice thanks ill post pics when its done...
im lookin to have about 1-2 fingers in the front and 2 fingers in the back. any recommendations on springs that will accomodate that kind of drop or should i just go wit coils
u would go with wat ivory said its really the only thing that makes sense 2 me
LOL! Its spelled "Epiphany", LOL! No worries, glad I could help.
If you want that much of a drop you would need to go with the Megan Racing springs, and the AGX's. Teins will give you 2-3 finger gap up front, dependent on if ur a V6 or I4.
is it true they dont make agx for any 8G?
so i look up as wat 2000 mitsu eclipse? do i have 2 alter it in any way? say if i wanted to use my stock springs with the agx, could i do it?
thats wat i needed to know as long as they are "plug n play" lol im good lol
doesnt have to be that low i just want lower in front than in the back and some good handling at high speeds
Megans would be fine then, check around at some pix of the members car to see the drop...
ok.... will do

check it out let me no wat u think
Ya killn me here with "No" it's spelled "KNOW". LOL!
OK, from what Ive learned, the GR-2's are OEM replacements. They dont have adjustability like the AGX's and dont last long term on cars that are dropped. But there are a number of G's on here with this setup, so that's completely at your own risk. Springtech's Ive heard of before, but am not familiar with their quality. Maybe someone else knows more about these...
