I dont understand, why would he have to re-locate a carpc for a 5spd swap? Does he have it built into the auto shifter? :roll:Quote:

I beat the shit out of my car, V6 85k on the clock.
Tranny seems to be holding fine.
Thats insane, maybe I just got a crappy rebuild.
Got to try Lucas on my 8G.
I just hit 80k on my way home today.
Still original tranny. :D
I'm sure some of the trannies would go out sooner than others no matter what you do.
I think quality control was on their mind. But from my dad owning a machine shop, I can tell you that a few hundred thousandths of an inch here and there, can really make shit break before it should.
Truthfully I am amazed at how well cars hold up in general to all the heat, friction, and abrasive shit that hits them.
Had 60K on my auto until Goosey convinced me into the 5 speed swap and have about 5k on the swap and no probs (knocking on wood). that was a 02 auto that had the 60k.
'03 ES 2.4L 74K Original Trans.
Haven't noticed any issues during shifts. Mostly city driving with many long road trips (3x NYC from Florida).
I still have my v6 auto transmission. it has 28,000 miles on it.
62K on original tranny. Flushed at about 30K and 60K.
I relize I dont have a galant..
but my 93 diamante has 201K on the completely original engine, trans, and pretty much everything else (but for all the struts and some other suspension componants).
I envy you Manybrews. :)
