Brand used 04 ES

Hello Everyone! I had my 94 es for 5 months, and it serves me well. But Trans is going it has 162k on it, and gets 12mpg. Today, hour and a half ago, I bought a 04 es (2.4 a/t) from a tow yard for $1k. Its champagne/gold with tan interior, 161k miles and i already had to zip the bumper back on. Story i got from tow yard was that owner was arrested and they tow'd it, he never paid them, he owed like 2800 for it, they selling it for 2k then marked it down to 1k. Needs work, mostly interior, rear driver's side door card and front pass. interior door handle. and some misc. trim bits and pieces. Anything i should look out for?

anyone had trouble passing smog? egr monitor not ready after 100s of miles of driving, tags expired last month, cant reg until its smog, cant smog without driving, cant drive with expired tags
