I saw someone one here had added led strips under the dash and behind the driver and passenger seats. He said that he had wired them to the door circuit or something. I'd love to do this to my car can anyone explain to me what I need to do? I have an 04 Galant ES
what is your final goal here? have the lights turn on when the doors open up?
Yes I want to open the door and have them come on
What I'd do is tap into the dome light. Those turn on then fade off when the doors open. I'm not 100% sure how to do it on a 9g but I'm sure there are tons of videos on YouTube that would be helpful.
You could go one of two ways:
Easiest would be like techno said and just splice into your dome light circuit
Other way would be to use a relay and use your door switch as a trigger
