9g (2007) car stereo double din question

So I'm biting the bullet and ditching the stock Fosgate sound. Can anyone tell me the EXACT size of the opening of the Metra 9g galant dash kit. Specifically will it fit a 6.2" double Din or a 7" double din. It seems like there are conflicting accounts of what fit. Also has anyone used a double Din running on android operating system?

I just got the dash kit and 7 inch double din looks like it would fit much better. Did you have to get a big trim kit to fill in the gaps with the 6.2 inch?
