My trunk latch has been broken for about a year so it won't close and I don't have the money to replace it. So someone please post a tutorial for it 🙃
First step is remove the 2 10mm bolts

Next, disconnect the 2 electrical connectors

Then, it's the cables. The cable with the ball end needs to be pushed down the out towards the passenger side. I was able to push down with only my thumb after getting some slack.

After that, I pushed the plastic blue piece out. This one is a pain in the ass to take out.

The last cable has to be pulled out like that blue plastic retainer.

After that retainer is free, you need to make sure the spring is out of the way, I was able to do that with no tools. Lean the cable towards you, the off to the right. Once it clears, remove the cable by pulling it towards the front of the car. Putting it back together is the reverse order, but is a real pain.

A small flathead screwdriver might help with moving the cables around.

You're welcome. All in all this took me about 30 minutes to get it in and out with doing the write up.
