I want to know what I can do to help my 8g perform better, without 5-speed swap etc..no big modifications right now. Those will come later, when I'm able to make time. I've read many forums/posts, figured I wanted to make my own. Any links would be gladly appreciated. If someone could get me a link to easier swaps as well, so like the 4g63, 64...tranny swaps...etc...I'm kind of a noob, but ever since I got my galant I've been deeply in love, I'm not giving up on her.
Do nothing. 5 speed swap is the only way you'll feel the galant perform better. I've done the 5 speed swap, the diamante intake manifold, headers, short ram intake, coilovers, etc...., and my car is still a turd. It is slow. It's fun to drive but the V6's being put in cars now are over 300hp and your V6 has 190hp. Just spend your money on maintenance. If you want it to look nice then the best exterior mod is coilovers and a nice set of wheels, 17" or 18".
