Anyone In NY know how to do this and if so how much would they charge to do it?
what is your reason for removing it?
I hate having to worry about it.
I'll put it like this. 99% of the people who do it, do it with the motor out of the car. Its essentially the same amount of labor as a timing belt job, plus removing the oil pan and oil pump, and taking the oil pump apart. I bet a fair shop would charge you around $400 to do it. Also its the perfect time to do an oil pump, timing belt and water pump replacement, especially if your motor has higher mileage.
From the pic in your sig it looks like you be by Edenwald.
