Has anyone installed a Mishimoto thermostat that activates at 68°C in Galant 8G?

Has anyone installed a Mishimoto thermostat (https://www.mishimoto.com/mitsubishi...ostat-95t.html) that activates at 68°C in Galant 8G? Galant 2.4L (Engine code 4G64)? The activation temperature is 88 °C for OEM thermostat. Does your Galant still run OK, or run better, or run worse? I saw somewhere that using a lower activation temperature thermostat may cause the vehicle use more fuel, and make the spark plug black from too much fuel. I just want to check if the Galant owner here ever installed such thermostat, and how the vehicle performs after the installation. BTW, I own a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant ES 2.4L, Currently 124K miles.
