I've bought the cheesy brake screw tool from autozone for like $15 but it's useless since you have to push in while turning. What other technquines are there? I"m just thinking of buying a drill and drill all of them out and but new ones from dealer.
You have a handheld impact driver? One of these might help. You have to have a slight torque applied as you strike, but it does work (sometimes).

Yessss!! 1st pic u post thats the tool i have but u have to push it in while turning. Not really helping. I wonder if the heavy duty one will work?

simple. those things are annoying and not necessary but you could always get replacements if you want.

You're supposed to hit it with a hammer. It should do the turning for you.
Anyways, those screws are only there for the assembly line so drilling them out will not hurt it whatsoever.
any kind of drill with any kind of decent bit, they are usually pretty soft screws.Quote:

Those screws...I hate them with a passion, especially Hyundai ones. Most come out, it's the ones that round off or snap that give you a headache.
These screws are the real devil i tell ya. Im going outside in 100degree weather. Going to take all 3 of em out today. I got one to get loose but others are tight. Just because of these damn screws my job has been extended fackkkkkkkkkk

OKAY! back here to give good news. Got all 4 of the screws out. Went to sears hoping to buy a drill but instead I got this impact driver.

Even the passenger side no spray pb blaseter or anything, just get right bit pound it in and twist. I was going to buy a $130 drill but instead I tried this. $25! Don't get the one from autozone it's very similar to what wetamup2k3g posted a picture of it that's the one where you have to push in at the same time hit with hammer and very crappy low quality design.

cool glad you got them out. looks like a pretty nifty tool for 25 bucks if you dont have4 an air compressor or anything.
Also a nifty thing to invest in is a set of grabit bits. Its an extractor set and works on hard to get out rusted screws.
Yea its a must have tool. Makes job a lot easier!

Use an old man in a air hammer with a #3 phillips head bit. We use these all the time in aviation to get corroded screws out. http://www.yardstore.com/browse.cfm/4,3701.html
^^I've used this before at work, more times than not they work good, other times it will break the screw smooth off. It never meets a screw that tells it no. At least not the air hammers we have at work.
