yu will see some oil in the pic dont worry i not leaking oil, wit for your engine to cook down be fore you remove the sensor 8p being angry and in a hurry dont mix well
stupid factory manual, i thought it was on the exhaust side, now if you where to add a electionic oil pressure sensor?, you tap into the wires or the block lol
where are the other sensors?
you source it from the block. never tap any aftermarket gauge into a factory sensor, your asking for trouble. not only will it mess with your reading, but it will probably F'up the signal going to the ECU from the sensor as well. The best place to install an oil pressure gauge is right on the oil filter housing.
i have a leak like that too,,,, i wounder what it could be,,, ill find out on saturday
ok i just changed my oil pressure sensor $20 from the dealer. you will need a 1 1/6 inch deep socket and it should take 5 minutes to change, This is for the I4
you will need to change the sensor if your oil light comes off and on during idel and goes away when you rev it..
yay it worked
Thank you for the post. I just changed mine out. Dealer wanted $40, autozone charged $6.
changing this soon.. any tips appreciated
wait is oil gonna be pouring outta this thing once i pull it? dangit
Well, when I changed my sensor out, I did an oil change at the same time. Kill two birds with one stone.
tru. just changed it out, wasn't too bad, some tips are get the 1 1/16 DEEP SOCKET.. which now that i look up there it already says so... and jack ur car up as much as you safely can for leverage, i ended up shifting my body to the left of the car (head was facing downward towards rear bumper) and pressing my wrench outwards towards the pass. front wheel to finally get it to loosen
