Steering wheels, Mitsu fits Mitsu, right?

    I'm getting another Mitsu wheel(take a guess )

It should be a direct bolt on, yes? Same w/ the airbag hookup? And is there a possibility of poping the airbag if I install it wrong?

I would PM manybrews on this one Maz.

But uh, I think it should fit, if it doesn't that's ghey. EVO?? ya well.
I think there is something about airbag installation that requires some sort of professional or certification deal... can't remember though.

I was absolutley no help was I

just remember to disconect your battery, as for the removal and install, its not hard at all, well as an 8gen swap, im not too sure about the 7th gen.

Hit up DJplay, he had to buy some type of adaptor. As with the Evo wheel, it may fit, 2g eclipse wheels should bolt on
    7g for life!

i remember reading it somewhere. i think it was evolutionm or club mitsuph. and the answer is no. not all mitsu steering wheels will fit all mitsu's. is there a specific steering wheel you looking at?

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(manybrews)</div><div class='quotemain'>havent got a clue, really..
no ones even tried, as far as I know.
there wont be any real type of "certification" as far as I know, as I doubt very much the airbag systems are compatable in anyway. Â*in fact, I suspect trying to combine the two would be extraordinarily dangerous. Â*
I have no idea if the capacitance of the two bag systems is the same. Â* Just plugging the evo bag into the galant system may cause it to fire off.</div>

REALLY sorry about the 3+ year bump, but I just bought an aftermarket steering wheel. I want to know what's involved in installing it and exactly what is this 'adaptor' I need. My father kept saying I need a 'steering wheel puller' to uninstall the current one or something like that.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks!!

Yeah chris you will need a steering wheel puller. You can get one at most decent autoparts stores. THink mine ran 20 or 25 bucks when I bought it. It might be called a harmonic balancer remover too. As for the adaptor as other people have said I know you'd need one for an 8g but as for a 7g I really don't know who makes one or which one would fit.

I was hoping to hear "Yeah, just unbolt and bolt the new one on!!" but that's never the case, is it?
